I don't know about the minds of men, but the Shadow knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men.

It is biological.
Men can actually sense (smell) women. Sometimes more than others... you know what I am taking about. They can smell when they don't know they are smelling and they biologically want to mate with women.
Evil Lurks because we have made it evil. But evil is there because of the physical craving for mate and men ALWAYS find a way to mate. Maybe it is legal maybe it is not, but men will mate.
It is the same reason why more women that you would think like to be TAKEN by a man and feel like their body is being taken and used by the man for his sexual pleasure.
I am not saying women want to be hurt and raped, but it they are safe and know that is just an act... many of them certainly love to roll play out a situation whereby the man takes the woman's body and/or she has to give the man her body as a trade for safety.
