Are we open minded enough to admit that we don't know it all?

I'm trying, that's why I'm starting to redirect parts of my questions to the other sections. I want to hear what they have to say in the logical universe.

It's not a bad thing at all. I frequently learn new information here, as well as a wide variety of other places. I always want to know more. Of course, I don't know it all, and I've never claimed that I did. That's why I spend so much time and effort on educating myself.

I learned Spanish (kind of) last semester!
I try to learn things on here, I have had quite the SOCIOLOGY lesson actually!
It is a matter of reading through the bias to get to the truth
kind of doing a research paper, you have to check your sources

I can't speak for everyone, but I have no problem admitting that I hardly know anything and there is a ton for me to learn. I feel bad for anyone who truly feels that they've done, seen and learned it all - everything else beyond that point would be a waste, wouldn't it?

Uhh what the third guy said....I guess.

I have learned a lot here, about religion, and about people in general.

And people just hate to admit they don't have the answers.

"There is a God" "My God is the right one" "There is no God"

Such strong statements from people with really no substantial proof. Plus it's fun.

There are some people here that are afraid that if they learn something they will go to hell, I am serious this is not intended as an insult

Sadly, what I mostly learn is people are closeminded and dumb. On a rare note I learn much from people who taught me what I was missing. Mostly those are the people who answer questions I ask though.

The only reason I'm here is to learn more. I'll go to my grave learning and I'm very interested in hearing what others think. Doesn't mean I agree with them, but sometimes it gives me something to research further.

Not often, no. They ask some unanswerable theology question and then just pick someone that most agrees with them as a best answer. Hell I do that too, oftentimes. =) People are petty creatures.

This is why Jesus told us we must be reborn before we can see the kingdom of heaven. You must forget everything you ever knew or thought you knew about God and the kingdom of heaven. Once you have a new heart, be willing to except the true doctrine, your eyes will never be open to the truth.

Most believe what they want to believe, and see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear, because it is what they want, it has nothing to do with truth, it is what you will believe.
