I had dandruff for a long time and used sooo many produces! I know what you are going through lol.
The best brand/item that I found was Head and Shoulders. It removed it in about 1 week. You can get it at Wal*Mart or anywhere like that! I must warn you though.....it burns and stinks for the 1st 5 seconds it's on you head!!! Just for a head's up!
Here's some information on it. Hope it helps!

Use a good dandruff shampoo.
They come with at least 2 different active ingredients so you will need to find the one that works for you. ie. Head and Shoulders has one active ingredient, Denorex has a different one, I think.
If it is actual dandruff you could talk to your doctor because it is a skin condition and he may recommend some kind of medication.
If it is just product build up, find a good "stripping" shampoo and get your hair and scalp really clean. Use it occasionally to get all the leftover product out. (Instead of your regular shampoo and conditioner.)

The first thing you should do is go to a dermatologist to make sure that dandruff is really what you have. They'll give you a medicated shampoo more than likely. Also Nizoral is a good over- the-counter shampoo.

Really bad dandruff [ falls on your bodywhile you're walking ]
needs more aggressive treatment.
Buy neutrogena Tgel , Tsal, or Nizoral and wash your hair daily until it improves. Buy the conditioner that goes with it.
DON"T use anything else on your hair [ gel, mousse, sprays ]
until it clears up, and add one product a week in case you are sensitive to them.
Wash all your combs, brushes, and rinse and dry thoroughly - you don't want to add new 'gunk' to your head.
If you don't start to improve after a week, see a dermatologist.
You could have psoriasis, eczema, or seborrheic dermatitis.

How do you like ansewr #1? Shower less and it will help...
Ha-ha! If you follow this "logic," then shower once a month and it will be even better. Maybe that's what you've been doing and that's why your hair is dirty?
Use Head and Shoulders every day and report back in a week.

i did at one point too. the only thing i have found that works is cutting down on the amount of time you shampoo/week (to 2 or 3 times) and using selsun blue.

well you could use head and shoulders or selsun blue um and maybe get a new brush because the top parts of it might have came off and their scratching your scalp causing it to make your skin dry and tender you should change your brush every 3 months its better for your hair hope i helped! : )
