The Bible was a great tool for you to interpret things around you. It is a tool. It is a tool to help you find God. Remove yourself from what some has written in a book. Challenge the book. Think! Spiritual thinking of humans has declined. Use the rest of your brain. Use the 99% of your brain sitting idol. Right now. Do you KNOW?

There are two creation stories in the book of Genesis, one with God being Yahweh and the other with God being Elohim. The stories have a different creation cycle.

However the most important part is that Elohim is a plural noun in Hebrew and it is that story that God says "Let us make man and woman in our image." So there is credible evidence of two Gods existing at the same time, or perhaps Elohim was a hermaphropdite. There is a great dichotomy in the great stories in the Moses books where both gods are mentioned, basically in two almost parallel stories.

You haven't talked to a lot of Neo-Pagans, have you? Many of them honor Deity as both God and Goddess. And throughout human history, there have been many, many Goddesses as well as Gods.

As a Wiccan, I believe that the God and Goddess we honor are aspects of an unknowable Source; we approach Them in male/female polarity because that makes Them approachable, as opposed to the incomprehensible Divine quality from which They spring.

Or how about this - God has no body therefore God is beyond gender identity. "God is." I think the only reason that the pronoun "it" (in American English) is not used to refer to God is because for centuries it has been used in regards to innanimate objects. To most people, there is something degrading about calling a being "it." Heck, even spayed and neutered animals aren't called "it."

God is a spirit not a human and he does have the characteristic's of both male and females. You want to call him Mother instead of father be my guest...Jesus called him Father...so I'll stick with that.

God is spirit, not a human, so I understand your question. But the bible refers to God as a he.

the creator is both female and male but not in the sense that we see male and female, the creator has both female aspects and male aspects some religions choose to believe in the creator with both halves together therefore forming one god others believe in worshiping both aspects seperatly. what ever you choose is right for you.

God is in all of us, and I can not say if it is he or she. It is just a spirit in all of us that tells us what to do and protect us. I believe God is more then he or she.
