i mean, most people who have turned atheist, have done so after THOROUGHLY reading the bible...but every 2 hours or so i see some of the STUPIDEST questions asked by creationists about evolution...

NOT to generalize..some people are very educated indeed,BUT so far i have seen soooo many utterly nonsensical questions about evolution rather than intelligent ones..a few examples are

(1)are u telling me that we evolved from monkeys?

(2)if we evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys around?

(3)if God didn't create me why am i not a blob of skin and blood sitting around?(this was actually asked at R&S)

(4)if things actually did evolve,do trees wish they had wings?(this was also asked)

(5)sarcastic questions asking why we don't use the EVOLUTION theory to explain a car being designed (sheesh!as if cars REPRODUCE!)

and many many more....do u actually think u're making ANY sense by questions like this?

"
since Christians dont believe evolution i think the ques you are referring to are really fakes"

then WHY OH WHY do u ASK questions like this? even if it's just for the sake of argument, don't u realise that u end up looking like fools when u don't even know the subject properly??!!!

disagreeing is respectable...but nonsensical questions like these????!!!!

I thought i was the only one who noticed such ridiculous questions being asked. Thank you for giving me hope for humanity!

The problem isn't that they don't study...... the problem is that they study with the intent to disprove reality & prove christianity is right.... rather than reading the information objectively and coming up with their own conclusions.

It's like....... creationism vs science..... Science uses details to back up their theories/ideas/hypotheses.... Whereas creationism has the "ideas" already and they desperately grasp at straws to find the details to prove their "ideas" are true. Like the whole... fish fossils in mt. everest thing. Ooh yeah the christians had their hands on that one IMMEDIATELY ..... that was the "proof" they needed to show the 40day & 40 night flood really happened. What most of them DIDN'T do is their research on mountain formations. It's no surprise to find fossilized fish in mountains because mountains are formed from the movement of the tectonic plates causing the shifting & collision of the land masses which push together & raise up to form the mountain. The land masses most likely were under water prior to becoming a mountain... but do they do that research? No of course not! they jump to a conclusion based on what they are trying to prove.

I agree with you 100%. Not just that, but I absolutely hate it when people ask questions like "Do you believe in evolution?". You're probably thinking, how the heck is that question ignorant? Well, I really don't want to sound all scientist-like but, evolution doesn't require belief. It's a fact, period. It's accepted as a fact in all science books, it has been proved. There is no point in arguing about it (a lot of people seem to do that). One excuse is: it's JUST a theory. But if people were as smart as they say they are, they would know that the term "theory" in science does NOT imply lack of certainty. Being a theory implies self-consistency, agreement with observations, and usefulness. And no, we did not evolve from monkeys. Humans and the modern day Chimpanzee evolved from a common ape-like ancestor. This is the truth, it's a fact, you can't say you BELIEVE in it, you just know it. It's knowledge, it would be ignorant to reject knowledge.

The majority of Christians who post such absurd questions can't even answer questions regarding the Bible- how do you expect them to refute evolution if they can't even understand our own holy book??!!

As a Christian and a college student I have studied science extensively and still choose to be a Christian.

There are many informed and intelligent Christians out there.

It's the "special" ones who seem to be so apt to opening their mouths before thinking!!

I do not know why they do it, but it is probably because they see their question as valid. I will ask a better question here that is an honest question that evolutionists avoid.

If humans did not appear on earth until approximately 60 million years after dinosaurs became extinct, then, how is it possible that man's footprints are fossilized and coexist with fossilized dinosaur prints of the same time period and are molded in the same material?

These types of questions are asked by people who are too stupid to see the terrible flaws in their lines of thinking. Even if you bring it to their attention, they will come back you with more babble of the same calibur.

The people who are actually smart enough to understand it yet still wont accept it... those people are the willfully ignorant. They choose to believe creationism and things like that out of personal preference rather than logic and reason. They back up their claims using a variety of logical fallacies. And if you call them on the logical fallacies, they'll try arguing semantics. And then when that fails, they finally admit that the bible must be taken on faith since it does not make logical sense.

I'm sorry, what book out there specifically tells us why there are still monkeys around?

Hearing from real people is just fun. And for some people this IS research! Just look at all the homework questions out here.

It goes both/all ways. People don't read up, because that's quiet and ... well, boring. It's much more exciting to have an argument, call people names and get them angry or try to make them look foolish, and feel like a big shot because you think you have all the answers without having to actually study anything or anyone. That's why.

You have to take into consideration that most people are either lazy, stupid, frightened or all 3. When you start to challenge people's core beliefs, most will balk. It takes too much brainpower to critical think or even attempt to question, and much easier to let other "educated" people who are in the same camp do it for them. Which is why groups like White Supremacists, Moral Majority, and Republicans exist.

Just want to point that out before you go preaching about you not being holier than thou.

Response to your foolish response: You still had 156 characters left before you had to click the additional details button again, OH NOES! You still look like an idiot.
