find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First- congrats on the kid! :-)
About the weight lose- rain or shine, walk thrity minutes a day, cut out aanything and everything that has Trans Fat, do not get mad at yourself if you faultier on a diet, just get back to it and do not worry about the Snickers you just ate, just take a walk.
About the diet, you have to eat for your child (if you are breast feeding) so eat healthy, salads, chicken, fish, etc. Have 12 oz of water 20 minutes before you eat, eat slowly (no big bites), and do not stuff yourself, no fast food, and no fried foods.
Do not shot for 60 lbs, instead just shoot for getting into good shape, because you have to be more concerned about keeping your breat milk production up then losing sixty pounds.
Remember- your future husband loves you for who you are inside, the outside he can love too.

Well first of all you have to exercise! And I know it's not what you want to hear but if you really want it, it's worth it. But I am doing the atkins diet and I have lost 14 pounds in two weeks. That with exercising too. It is very hard! Work hard and everytime you think about cheating think of your dress and how much this will mean to you. It also helps if someone you know will do it with you. Or you can e-mail me for support! Good luck!

Regular diet and excercise work best. Eat less, eat more healthy stuff. Walk more! Get at least a half hour of cardio a day.
I guarantee you can lose weight doing this.

~I recommend the South Beach Diet and plenty of exercise, I lost a ton of weight doing that. The South Beach Diet is super strict but once you gain self control, it's nothing...and when you incorporate moderate exercise into the mix, it seems like the fat melts off.
