starving the body for 12 hours a day is not optimum for fat loss
you should ingest a meal/snack that is mostly protein about 30 min to 1 hour before bed time. the metabolic rate increases during the first stage of sleep and does not reach the lowest point until just before awakening. those that preach about not eating after 4-6 pm do have not done the proper research.

* as long as your nightly meal fits into your daily calories you will not gain weight and may even see greater fat loss

thats about good bc your body is able to break down most of the food right before you go to bed. But if you happen to have a late night say about 8 and you wanna go to sleep by ten then have a light dinner such as salad or a smaller portion of food

If I had more willpower, I would stop eating a couple of hours before going to bed. Unfortunately I tend to eat about half an hour before going to bed.

You current schedule is fine, but realize, there is little to no difference between going to bed after you eat and sitting on the couch watching t.v. after you eat.

while most sources say don't eat 2-3 hours before bed, at least one says that as long as you don't go over your caloric limit for the day, any time is fine.
