George Bush believes that he is a good Christian and that he will go to Heaven. His disastrous handling of the War on Terror and the Invasion of Iraq, however, should send him straight to Hell. Question: Is it your actions or is it your beliefs that determines if you end up in Heaven or in Hell?

Although I believe his actions are not becoming of a christian (which he claims to be) and I would consider many of his actions sins, it is not for me to judge whether or not anyone goes to heaven or to hell. Anyone can repent for anything if they are truly sincere in their repentence, if he were to make a turn around in his life, I would say that he has a good chance (just as anyone has a good chance if they honestly repent; what person can say they are without sin?)

I believe that as Christians, our works should reflect our faith. One cannot get into heaven by works alone, but a person with strong faith who does nothing good in his life is surely disobeying the commandments of God. Faith first, works second, but Both determine whether you go into heaven.

No, George won't go to heaven. Neither will anyone else -- there's no such place. He's just a prime example of what delusional beliefs in gods that don't exist can do to the mind of human beings -- turn it into mush (more than his already was).

On the other hand, as an atheist George *does* make me sort of wish that there was such a thing as hell...'cause if anybody deserves to go there, he does. I guess I'll just have to be content that when he's gone he'll just rot in the ground like the rest of us. Sigh.

Peace.

You are wrong. Neither heaven or hell are based on works.
A place in heaven is only gained by accepting the sacrifice God Himself has provided. That is in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
George Bush is a professing Christian. Only He and God know what the relationship is. His behavior, as we see it, not as we assume it based on "media" reports...is indicative of a relationship with Christ.
So, it looks like he is going to heaven.

George W. Bush deserves hell. However, God's mercy may triumph over Bush's sins.

Bush may go to Heaven IN SPITE OF himself, not BECAUSE he's such a wonderful, flawless Christian. There ain't no such person. That's why we need a Savior.

No, like all of the other evil politions in the world and even the world leaders that have done so much damage to the people of the world and just to the world itself, I believe that he is going straight to hell, along with his father, why people voted him in a second time is still unclear to me, but with so many of our people dying in the middle east, then them deal with their own problems, we have bigger problems in the world to deal with, so let's start dealing with them.

And I hope he sees you there.

2 Tim 1:8 But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, 9who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.

Salvation is by Grace. Please do not presume that any work any one can do would be an acceptable subsitute for God's Grace. That is an eternal mistake.
