How water pump works(jet pump) needed diagramatic explnation.?

Question

i need to make a pump ,which can pump the water atleast from 2-3 feet ,,i need to know there is possibility to make with fish motor(used to make a bubles in fish tank)..

An aquarium pump is a diaphragm pump desined to pump air. Even if you could get it to pump water without shorting the motor out, I doubt it would provide the 3 ft head you require. This site offers a low-priced pump that can deliver a 2.3 ft. head.
