yes i have been though that before. at first i liked this girl and about 4 months later i realized that it was only lust and we was better off friends.

It's not uncommon at all...it takes a while to really get to know someone, and even if there's chemistry or some other type of 'attraction', it can take months to realize that a couple just isn't a good romantic match.
This also happens when people jump into having sex too soon...sex becomes more of a focus in the relationship than learning about one another, and a few months later when they have learned a bit more about each other, they discover that other than sex they just aren't a well matched couple at all.

I'll never understand that.
I'm one of those guys that falls pretty hard for a girl within the first few months. I usually am friends with them before going out and by the time we go out my feelings are in full swing.
But I'm probably just weird like that.
Whatever your situation is, don't get jerked around if you still have feelings for whoever you went out with, but they just want to remain friends. Sometimes it can be a power trip for the other person.

Yes, but ... if you are truly good friends then there should be some sort of spark there. The basis of love has to be friendship. Lust can exist on its own. Infatuation and desire can live on their own. But true love always has a very very strong element of friendship.
If he is saying that he wishes only to be friends, then most likely he's seeing things there that aren't working for him, he sees someone else that is more interesting, or he is finding that his goals and wishes aren't being met in you.

It doesn't only happen to guys...it happens to girls too.
It happend to me. I was seeing someone for almost 6 months and was pushed to my limits. Now that he reallizes that he really wants me in a REAL relationship now I just would rather have him as a friend.
Sometimes you just loose those feelings sometimes you don't.
Appereantly he did. Some guys do like having girls as friends...not necessarily sleeping with them either...some girls are just like guys. Very chill.
You should ask him...what happened? See what he says.

Yes, but she didn't feel the same! She threw some food at me and gave me the cold shoulder and we didn't stay friends!
I guess it would work if BOTH thought the same thing!

yea i think its cus we did it to soon(first day) and then after a couple weeks i realized i had nothing in common she was just a hot girl who got ugly fast. its my fault i feel bad but what can i do i left her alone and never talked to her again.
