Um, hello! That's a rapist/pedophile. I'd be calling the police, as would any parent, unless they're like that carzy woman who was hooking her daughter over the internet?!?!?!?!

What is this 31 year old man a pedophile? #1 your daughter is still a minor and has her whole life ahead of her why would you want her to ruin it by letting her date a grown man who has a grown man needs and I'm pretty sure a grown man's sexual appetite. I have a soon to be 15 year old and God help the Grown Man who ever tries to talk to her. Also your daughter is naive and this man may be on a child like mentality but he is still older than her and able to manipulate her. Tell this creep to stay away from her or you are going to call the cops and monitor her like a guard monitors a criminal in prison. Don't let her out of your sight.

I have a daughter myself and I hope she finds love later in life rather than sooner.
Still, being realistic, I am well aware that teens have ways of getting what they want, with or without their parents' consent. And I won't just blame it on the media (although it is saturated with sex).
So I suggest you sit down and have a frank conversation with your daughter and make sure she knows the consequences of her involvement with someone so much older.
First of all, those men usually want sex more than they want a relationship. Becuse the girl is still living with mom and dad, they don't have to worry about feeding her, clothing her, housing her or taking care of any of her needs other than sexual. A girl will not make the demands of a 31 year old woman. A girl won't challenge a man to be a good father, husband, boyfriend, employee. She won't pressure him to demand a raise or get a better paying job. She won't pressure him to move out of that studion apartment and buy a house. She won't pressure him to get married and have children...
Sure, men may be attracted to the beauty but they are also attracted to no-stress, no-pressure relationships. Don't allow your daugher to be used be a 31 year old man who can't cut it with someone his own age.
Your daughter may be smart and mature, but she has not had enough life experience to be an adequate companion to a smart and mature 31 year old man. If he is somehow emotionally immature then he is not the person for her because as she continues to mature, she'll realize how immature he is and may even blame you for allowing her into the situation in the first place.
Remember that in spite of wanting to live in harmony with your children, you also have to make decisions for them when they are not wise enough to make them themselves. That's why they are called minors, have guardians and cannot be legally bound to contracts.
So tell your daughter no and make sure you keep an eye on her. Do the best you can and make sure you let her know that you don't want her going against your wishes. I hope for her sake that she doesn't go behind your back but once you have done your part, you can't blame yourself for what happens.

Would you let your 16 year old daughter date a 31 year old man? Ask yourself the same question!!! Hell No!! Something is seriously wrong with a 31 year old man that wants to date 16 year olds.

Definitely not. Check with your local authorities, find out if 16 is the age of consent in your state. That's statutory rape. Whether it is or not, this 31 year old man is a pedophile and he has a problem. He needs therapy. Do not let him get near your daughter. She will end up pregnant. No 31 year old man would need to date a 16 year old... he's sick. I'M SHOCKED THAT YOU EVEN HAVE TO ASK!!

Are you serious? First off no 31 year old man should be interested in a 16 year old girl. 20 maybe, but 16? And the mother is as responsible as the man in preventing this from happening.

No, of course not! That's a 15 year age difference- almost a full "generation", as in the 31 year old man is in a much different life situation than a 16 year old girl. My guess is that she's just infatuated with him, not really in love. It will be difficult to say no to her I know, but you can't let that happen!

2 words....hell no! What is wrong with the 31 year old man? Can he not find a woman his own age? It doesn't matter if the 16 year old girl is in love with him. When she turns 18 and if the love is still there, then let bygones be bygones. Until then, they both need to call it quits.

No and I mean NO, that is jail bate, there is no way in hell this is true love, more like sexual lust. She needs to grow up and find out what life is all about first and get her education, the rest will come in time she is young and should enjoy life some before being strapped down with an older man, and he needs his head examined to even think of going out with a child of this age. If he was to touch my daughter at that age I would have him charged so fast his head would spin - if there was anything left with him after I kicked the living sh- t out of him.

31 or 41 doesn't matter, thats wrong and gross!
Just keep in mind, the 31 year old would only be using your daughter for s*x...and she may not be thinking about that, doesnt matter if she "loves" him, cuz he could less about her and her feelings.
I would NEVER let my daughter date a 31 year old when she is 16. That is nasty!
