I've been dating this guy for 3 months and I have a feeling he like me too (he spends numerous time talking with me on the phone and asking me out for dates). Lately I feel like he wants to move things forward but kinda not sure what i am thinking. so he's been asking me questions to find out if i like him or not (indirect question like "if the house's on fire will you save me first?) i like him too but i'm kinda shy. how can i tell him that i like him without making it sound too desperate or too open? how do you know when he is trying to move things forward or getting serious?

If you guys are dating it's completely noticable that you both like each other. Otherwise yous wouldn't be dating.

Be honest! The only way a person would know how you feel is if you BOTH show him and tell him. You have to reassure him with words but also your actions have to indicate what you feel. If he is asking you it's because he is not sure. You have to realize this and take actions so that he knows, so that he isn't guessing. Women too often want men to guess what they are thinking. This is never good.

well um not a guy but from a gurls perspective I think you should just be yourself and just be honest.. If he likes you then he wont think ur desperate come on u guys have been dating for three months...u guys should just sit down and have a private convo and discuss how much u guys like eachotha and would like to get to know eachotha better if youre both are up to it...neva hold how u feel inside bcuz life is just to short and u neva know wats gonna happn

Tell him that you dont like guys who beat around the bush, and want someone to always get to the point & say what they are thinking. Then let him drive the boat!
But I would definately be cautious if he's talking about the house burning. lol

You are the girl, everything is in your hands. tell him you really enjoy your time with him and that he respects you. Tell him you feel safe with him. This will stop him from moving to fast. Thank him with a kiss , this will prevent him from being discouraged.
