OK, try this.
According to most of it's followers the 'Bible' is the unassailable 'Word of God'.
The 'Tower of Babel' story appears in Genesis 11:1-9, after the flood, but before the verses about Shem ( father of the Semites, which kinda begs the question of what happened to all the other sons of Noah's descendents, as they were not, apparently, Semites ! ). It goes on, verse 10, to say that when Shem was 100 years old, two years after the flood, he begat Arphaxad.
Thus the building of this Tower, that so offended 'God', must have started after the end of the flood's recedence.
Now this is interesting on a number of counts, firstly in those days a major structure, such as a pyramid, or ziggurat ( the Sumerian/Babylonian name for a stepped tower ) would take, typically, a generation to build, 25 years or so. So is 'God' saying that there were large numbers of people who survived the flood, especially in this place in the plain of Shinar, which is an ancient name for the fertile crescent, between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers ?
If not, then who was building there ?
And how could they have built high enough in less than two years, sufficiently high to get up the Yahweian proboscis ?
The fact of the matter is that the whole 'Tower of Babel' yarn appears non-sequitur, and devoid of context, and is, in itself, a rather condemnatory commentary on the validity of this document as 'The Word of God'.
So..... International Space Station ..... as you were, stand easy, and all you satellites, back off, or we'll get out the LePage Glue Gun, and stick the lot of you together.

the Babel tower wasn't a rocket. No metal was mentioned. it's aim was to prove humans better than God by building a tower to Heaven, not the heavens.
if God hated the satellites you'd never get cell phone service. Heaven isn't in the sky or even in space.

As usual you understand nothing; so, it is up to me to explain it to you. The heaven that the builders of the tower of Babel were referring to is the first heaven, or the atmosphere of earth. the Tower of Babel was an astrological observatory, a religious structure designed to worship false Gods. Astrology was the first organized religion. Organized religion is an attempt to get at God by any means other than Jesus Christ. Religion and astrology involve witchcraft, which is sidestepping God to get to heaven. They never work because both are based on sin.

It was the human version of the rebellion in heaven. People were attempting to make themselves like God (not possible) and God showed them how impossible that was.
