Well, in order to rid the world of war, one must vow to live forever in peace with ones'neighbour.

As for religion, it is here to stay for ever, until the end of time.

History would tend to show that you can't, but getting rid of religion would definitely cut down on the wars.

They are essentially the same thing.

The solution is for people to realise that what they see when they look inside themselves is themselves, not god. Our power to use our energy to effect changes has been taken away by the notion of god when it is ourselves who have the power. Once we realise this we can direct this energy into the noosphere (world mind) and halt the terrible things that are going on.

We are not alone - we are surrounded by other people which we CAN learn to connect with if only we lose religion.
