Should we boycott Mexico?

Given that most of our illegal alien problem comes from Mexico, and the Mexican government actually gives tips on how to avoid detection, who thinks we should avoid taking vacations in Mexico or otherwise spending money there?

Maybe the solution is to invade, and annex the entire country. Let's face it: all the scummy drunken ones are already here since the wealthy in Mexico have done everything they can to promote illegal immigration. They have exported their problems to the US and now we pay for their public assistance and healthcare instead of Mexico. In the meantime, the rich in Mexico get richer.

If we simply take it over, the immigration issue becomes moot, we get all the oil that Mexico possess, and weekends in Cancun and Ixtapa are just domestic trips. Plus, we still get our lawns mowed for a song.

Let's face it, both countries turned a blind eye on something that has been going strong since the mid 1940's. Unfortunately the problem has gotten just too big to ignore anymore and the US Congress is still stalling about reforming immigration laws. The Mexican government has also done its fair share by its inability to create jobs or a stable economy.

Both countries have a strong tourist business, many Mexicans visit the USA on vacations, many Mexicans own real estate in America, and Americans do likewise where Mexico is concerned. I don't think this will happen.

That won't solve anything.

The ideal thing would be to annex Mexico as part of the United States.
We would be able to get rid of the corrupt Mexican government, expand our economic growth in the form of new oil, agriculture and recreational options and bring English-only into the life of every Mexican national.

Plus, we'd have a smaller border to patrol between the new state of Mexico and Central America!

Sure, take back the money that was earned here by not spending our money in Mexico. I like that idea. And we ought to get rid of Nafta too. What about more trade with central and South America and just bypass Mexico altogether?

The poor and respectful people in Mexico are the ones who will suffer the consequences, not their government, not the rich people. Besides, the arrogant disrespectful ones already here wont care.

When you find Mexicans in America blaming America for the crimes, illegal drug trades, and corruption of Mexican citizens, it's time America should close its doors completely to Mexico. Why? They may have vengeful intentions and become terrorists to destroy America. However, I wonder if Jeb Bush's Mexican wife would raise hell if we do! LOL

No. It would hurt the wrong people... the people who WANT to live there and to continue making money there. If you boycott Mexico, you hurt the (literally) poor people who choose to stay there and earn their living there.

Let us say for argument sake that we avoid vacationing in Mexico what good will it do us; they're still going to come.
When they sneak over the border they don't need money, except for what they'll need for survival.
