I would first start by putting up flyers around your neighborhood and putting an ad in the paper. Ask some friends and family if they know of anyone that would like to buy a daushaund. If not you can always drop the dog off at your local humane society. Since the dog is housebroken and good with children and a great family pet the chances of him being adopted are high.

Take some pictures of him and make a flyer w/ a short bio and your contact info. Hang in your local vet office/petsmart/petco, etc. Petfinder.com also lets you post a free ad that you are selling the dog. I would recommend charging a fee for him as opposed to giving him away (just in case you were considering that) because that will better ensure that he goes to a good home. You will get a lot of responses from people. Make sure you screen anyone interested in purchasing him from you to make sure they will be a good home. You wouldn't want him to end up getting passed from family to family, that is just sad. Make sure whoever wants to purchase him knows how to take care of a dog, and also if they have children ask them to bring their children to make sure they are respectful. Don't ever feel obligated to give him up to someone you don't feel comfortable with. You have the right to turn people down and I would hope you would want your dog to go to the best home possible. Good luck!

Post an ad in your local newspaper or on petfinder.com. Just be sure you ask for an adoption fee, personal references, veterinary reference and a home visit. A lot of people will pose as an adopter and then take the animal and sell it to a lab. Or use it for dog fighting. Or use it for breeding. Or just plain ignore/neglect it.

Hello & sorry, you have to move the dog on ...best bet to look for a Dachsund Rescue Center or through your VET or any good VET or animal clinic..it's not safe for you nor the dog to try & sell this dog, no matter how good the dog is, many BAD people will by or take dogs, then are cruel or sell them for experiments..selling dogs should NEVER be about money, most important is that they have GOOD, loving ..homes !!!Take Care :)

Most ppl just put ads in the paper for someone that looking to buy a best. put flyers up and u can go online for classified ads so ppl in your area would see. Also you may be able to try a pet shop or asking one of your neigbors if they want to buy the dog.

Why don't you try petfinder.com? You can also post at your local pet stores or in the newspaper. You need to specify your location wherever you post on the web.
