find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Eat a balanced diet. This means at least 5 fruits and veggies per day plus the other 3 food groups. Eat a filling breakfast like oatmeal (not quick oats) that has lots of fibre so you won't get too hungry before lunch. Bring a healthy lunch from home, don't buy from cafeteria. Walk to and from school or if you take a city bus, get off a few stops early so you can walk part of the way. You have to incorporate these healthy measures into your lifestyle then you'll never need to diet.

If your school has a gym take advantage of it and work out during your free time in between classes. Also, eat a balanced meal and avoid carbs. Stick to a protein diet. Check the calories of food in packages before you eat it because some of them could contain up to 500 calories. Drink a lot of water and run if you can. My boyfriend had to lose weight for boxing and he ran for a couple of weeks and he lost a lot of weight. Good luck.

Make sure you sign up for gym classes every chance you get and take your own lunches to school. You can bring a bag of baby carrots and apple slices, as well as string cheese, to nibble on in-between classes. By doing this you will get your metabolism fired up and you will not be so hungry by lunch or after-school that you are over-eating. You can also go to the Pyramid website and learn about healthy eating. They even have a kids area with games you can play.
Most of all, get out and play!
