They are cultists, this is because they have taken a major belief and changed it to suit them. So they will go to hell for their beliefs.

It is also really easy to see that they are a cult. their believers normally don't know what they fully believe in. This is why when you hear something about Mormon beliefs they say that it is wrong(they don't know they believe in that because the Mormon's bible become more complete as you go up in their cults belief, low members are not allowed the full version and they don't know that). An example of this is that they think that Jesus became a god and every one else can to, or that the whole land of American was a huge city that covered everything and all native Americans were Jews. there is no evidence for any of their beliefs.

One more point is that one of their Prophets that they say was killed for his beliefs actually was stealing a Egyptian tablet that was about how to mummify someone (they say it is a holy text that tells the truth about religion and has become one of their books.

in a since they do worship the Satan because the whole idea that they can become gods comes form the things that Satan told eve in the garden of Edan. So by saying that was true they do worship what Satan wants them to think

So yes they are a cult and make it seem like they are Christians to have people join

They're called the The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints, so where do you get the idea of Satan worship? And as to being a cult: anytime a religious sect is not determined to be as homogenized as other religions, it's considered a "cult" or an "offshoot" or "reformed" or some other term." Will they go to hell"?? For what, believing in the Bible, which is backed up by the Book of Mormon? For believing in Christ the Lord? Or for knocking on your door when you didn't want to listen?

If you want to know what members of a group believe, you can get the most accurate information from that group's members, rather than from outsiders or disgruntled former members.

The Latter-day Saints are not selfish with their beliefs. If you are academically curious, read A MARVELOUS WORK AND A WONDER by LeGrand Richards. Any LDS bookstore will sell you a copy -- or, if you ask an LDS friend for a copy, he will probably GIVE you one. (Granted, it is a bit dry, but after you read it you will have an excellent idea of LDS beliefs.) Another good step for the academically curious: Ask one of your LDS friends. If you and the friend can arrange your schedules so that you can spend a whole day talking, you can probably get all the information you want.

(I just realized an even easier way! If I were not such an old behind-the-times fossil, I would have thought of it sooner. Go to beta.mormon.org.)
