When you die, you're dead. God is just a superstition, so you don't have to worry about what will happen after you die. Nothing will happen. You'll just cease to exist.
Death is inevitable. It can only be delayed some through keeping fit. So, it's not something to really dwell on.
Instead, concentrate on living a good life while you have it. Life's end is the same for everybody. It's really the journey that counts.

I will share my experience of my stepfathers death, hopefully it might give you some peace and comfort. My sd in 1992 was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, after being a paremedic for years. He fought through a liver and kidney transplant, years of dialysis, being in and out of a wheel chair, medications that made him itch so badly he sores on his body, or made him sick. Through it all he kept his faith. I asked him about 4 years ago about a year before he passed away if he was sure he was going to heaven and he said he had already seen it. When he was on the operating table during his transplant and two other times when his heart stopped beating. He was confident of what was going to happen. After 13 years of fighting all these challenges with his body, his heart started failing, as did his circulation. He had to have an amputation and his only hope was a bypass surgery that the doctors decided he was too weak to have. He said enough, he stopped his dialysis that was keeping him alive, invited all his family and friends to an end of life party. He was at peace, he knew where he was going, he laughed and enjoyed his family. On Thursday my mother called me to tell me he had asked for a sponge bath and then shortly after that he had peacefully gone to sleep. I miss him still, but I know that I will see him again.
I know this is not exactly what you were looking for, but hopefully it will give you peace to know that you are loved no matter what you have to go through. God will be right by your side.

Here are some tips that may help you:
If you will read "Rickenbacker -- An Autobiography," you will read that Eddie Rickenbacker faced death numerous times.
In his narrative of the Atlanta crash, he explains that dying is the sweetest, most comfortable experience he ever knew.
Even if you are tormented to death (as was the Savior), your pain will be over relatively soon.
Pain is no fun. I don't fear my own mortality, but I do fear dying in pain, or in shame (such as being put to death for a crime), and I am sad to know that my widow and orphan will mourn me -- but death will come soon or late to me, so I don't dwell on it. Rather, I am seeing how much good I can do, and how many adventures I can have, between now and that time.

Near-death experiences seem like an unreliable means, at best, to gauge what existence after life (IF any) is like. Science has found that the body's response to a near-death experience, specifically the brain's, is to frantically fire neurons off as if a "last gasp" at life. This doesn't make the process of falling into the state of death any less horrible or shocking, IMHO.
Unless you are completely unaware of dying, you won't be spared any of the anguish. Pray that you go quickly and painlessly, such as being struck by a meteorite squarely in the skull such that your awareness is snuffed out without any sensation.

That type of fear is not of God, so rebuke it and read scriputers that will give you peace of mind. If you are a christian death is nothing but a door way to heaven. Christ took the sting out of death. Christ has conquered death and the grave. Good works cant get you in or stop you from going, only by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savoir ensures eteranl life. We should do good works that men might see us a give God the praise.

everyone is afraid of dying... but you shouldn't be as afraid as you are because though the physical process may be painful it'll be worth it in the end, since you'll go to heaven. but try not think about dying so much... you seem to worry about that which can make you not enjoy the life on earth God has given you. so make you're life worth something, because everyone has good days and bad, and dying is just a part of life. You can't expect everything to be good... which seems to be your mentality because you fear so much of dying. no pain, no gain right? how can you expect to go to heaven without dying - without feeling sad? God gives you the strength to face your fears, so just remind yourself everything will be fine in the end.

I was the same way you are until March 19th of 2002. I had a heart attack and after they had me at the hospital in the emergency room, the doctor gave a shot of something to dissolve the blood clot. He told me before he gave it to me that there was a 6% to 9% chance that it might stop my heart. All I remember after they gave me the injection was my face getting warm and fuzzy feeling and saying to the doctor that I felt funny and closed my eyes. When I opened them again the doctor was standing over me and asked me how I felt now. I told him that I felt no different than i did when they brought me into the emergency room. He just said good. It wasn't until 3 1/2 hours later after I had had an angioplasty and was resting comfortably in the Intensive care unit, that I found out I had died on the gurney and had been resuscitated and brought back. It was like I had just closed my eyes and then opened them again. I never knew I had gone and I had 8 nice burns on my chest where they had used the paddles on me. Like I said earlier, I felt the same way you do, but after that I decided that if that was all there was to dying, then I wasn't scared any more, so calm down and don't worry about it. When your time comes, you will go and after you are gone, there is no pain, or suffering. You just sleep.

fear of death is a natural death, but I suggest you excersize part of the fruit of the Spirit: peace. Of course you will imagine the process to be very undesirable. But know that God has a plan for your life and since you are going to Heaven, you are free from the greatest death there is : the second, the lake of fire and brimstone, which consumes even Hell...
protecting your life isn't a bad thing. you only have one! I suggest you spend some time with the Word. I suggest Isaiah 33; the story of Joseph; Psalm 23; and re-read Galatians 5:22.

All I can say to you is that If you have given your life to God and You know that when you die you will live with him in eternity then that is enough reason not to fear death and you also have to know that if you are afraid of the pain that may be associated with your death that pain is only temporary and that God can comfort you in any situation so just let your life be an example to others.... worship God in spirit and in truth and continue to live your life in peace because the bible says that God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and of a sound mind. It also says that if you keep your mind stayed on Him he will keep you in perfect peace...
GOD bless.

Personal experience with death is pretty hard to come by. But you have to remember that we don't have a choice, death will come for all of us at some time. The best comfort I can give you is that knowing God means that you don't really die, in fact your life is just beginning with death. The death process itself? I can't help you because I don't know. I think we are all a little scared because it is an unknown to us but faith and prayer are the best way through.

Well I am a part time on call fire figther, I have been in many fires, house forest and been on many accidents where cars drive past going way to fast and not watching. I have had a few close calls where it could have been bad. and I guess I reliazed that if its my time its my time. but untill it is I will focus on making the most out of life, if you dwell on the end you can't enjoy the rest. remember that on the tombstone its not the dates that matter its the dash in the middle.
