Just in case you were having sex with anyone else, they don't want to catch that disease. Let's put it this way... if u knew the person u're dating has multiple partners, would u want to catch what they have? I think NOT!! lol

The condom does more than just birth control. It is also useful for the prevention of disease. Also, the female birth controls are not 100% effective. Neither is the condom, however, using both will greatly reduce the odds of pregnancy.

To prevent STD's. Would you rather just not engage in any sexual activity... 'cause that's a choice too.

A diaphragm doesn't prevent transfer of STD's. A female condom wouldn't feel any better to you than a more common male condom.

Considering the risks (STD's & pregnancy), a condom is worth it. Considering the rewards (sex), a condom is worth it.

You've gotta use them at least until you're in a long term committed and monogamous relationship (ideally marriage/civil union), where both of you have been tested/proven to be disease free.

all birth control methods all called contraceptives...and males aren't forced to wear condoms, they do have a pill for men, but then again the pills don't help prevent STDS. Condoms help bodily fluids from being exchanged decreasing the risk for STD's.

Female birth control does not protect against STDs like condoms

B/c birth control is not only the gal's responsibility. You need two to do the deed, both should be equally responsible when you think of the possible consequences. AND, condoms are the ONLY, ONLY, ONLY way that AIDS and other STDs are not passed on. And you have to ask? You don't deserve a pu**y!

Because none of those female contraceptives prevents STDs from being tranferred from male to female (with the possible exception of nonoxyl-9 in some creme spermicides).

Are you kidding me? If you are going to have sex you should be responsible. It doesn't seem that you are because and this question seems like its coming from someone very immature and inexperienced. It doesn't matter what gender you are and you should never trust or assume she is using birth control. If you are still not convinced then go out there and have unprotected sex and when you get an std or someone knocked up then you will understand.

Condoms are necessary because "the pill", "the patch", "the ring", etc do not prevent STDs. If you aren't mature enough to take care of your body and prevent life altering (or ending) illness then you ought not to be having sex.

Because no form of birth control used by females, protects against STDs. ONLY condoms do.

I wouldn't risk HIV or Herpes (both incurable) over an orgasm...y'know?
