A pullout now, before the Iraqi government can take control of the sectarian violence, would be the equivalent of handing Iraq over to al Qaeda. The result would be a gross instability in the Middle East not the least of which means that terrorist training camps would be the rule of the day coupled with a cutoff of oil supplies to those nations it hates; i.e. America.
In addition, the terrorist threat does not end with a pullout. Bin Laden made it very clear that the goal is an islamic takeover of all secular governments and the imposition of an islamic state under sharia law. He and his a**hole buddies have plenty of patience to wait for America to cower and buckle under to misinformed citizens' opinion polls.

If we pull out, Iraq will start producing Oil again. Prices will fall and many rich oil execs in Texas and Mobilhoma will have to live on Millions instead of Billions
Remember oil was at $22 a barrel when we attacked Iraq.

Iraq will fall into deeper chaos if we pull out. The oil reserves wouldn't be secured and Israel would be the prime target as opposed to out troops.

well, another reason would be oil.........you want to pay 5 bucks a gallon?another reason goes along with the security......if we pull out now, then the next biggest baddest terrorist will take power, and they will re-organize and come after us...just look at how many times we have been attacked...either here, or on foreign soil....

Because the US doesn't want Iraq to turn into yet another country in the middle east that governed by Islamic fundamentalists - i.e. a Taliban style of government.
Americans have the idealistic viewpoint that our democratic style of government should be used everywhere in the world.

The major concern would be that Iran would fill the void of the non-existent or impotent Iraqi government. This would result in a single state, which is hostile to the US, controlling almost 50% of the world's proven oil reserves.
Aside from that? It would damage the US' international reputation (I guess some people feel that it's possible for it to be damaged beyond what its at now).

It would look bad politically. We go in and brake stuff, then leave before cleaning up.
Not a good way to make friends.....
