I live in a small village that miss most signals owing to the dip in the valley. I need one for the kitchen, to sit on the tele.

You will need a better outside aerial for digital than for analogue. In your situation an indoor aerial is not an option. With analogue TV as the signal weakens the picture gradually gets snowier until no longer watchable. With digital there is a sudden point at which the signal is too weak to be usable. This is called the edge of the cliff effect. Even with a good outdoor aerial you may not get all Freeview channels because until the analogue is switched off, some freeview channel groups are being transmitted out-of-band and need a wideband aerial to receive them. Also digital is not on full power yet until analogue is switched off. Here is a link to help you.

Hope this helps.

All Ariel I`ve seen is portable LOL that way it`s easy to pour into your washer.
However I think you mean TV AERIAL ,go to your nearest town and if they have an Argos/Currys or equivalent they`ll sort you out with an amplified aerial to boost the signal for you.

If you live in a valley shielded from the TV signal then you can amplify till the cows come home !! The formula is simple---NIL signal = NIL picture . Cheers Pete

Not possible. You'll need an amplifier and splitter on your main aerial.
