How did they turn out? What did you do with son or wish you would of done?

Our sons profile: He's 7 and is always saying he wants to kill family members and hates them. He has tryed to hurt baby sister many times (hitting her with object, punching, dragging her), but has not succeeded at really hurting her bad - yet. He had ADD. He fears no one- he has challenged kids twice his size and never cares how much trouble he will get in. Ya, we have spanked him, too. Then it seems he will try to revenge us in some way after we do ( he'll non-chalantly throw something your way that could really hurt.) My husband and I feel somewhat scared of him. He sees pyc, but he just acts like -oh he just wants attention-no duh!! I think it is some kind of mental disorder, but what do you do to get some real help?

I had a son that was prone to violence in that way too. I diverted him. I kept him active, and involved in various projects. I never let him watch TV, I selected the books he read, and I kept all refined sugar out of his diet. I paid attention to him, and involved him in paying attention to his little brother when he came along. I never ever left him alone with his little brother, and when he displayed violent behavior, and he did, he got timed out by sitting alone in a corner facing the wall for thirty minutes. If I had to literally hold him in that chair I did. Eventually, he came to understand discipline and control. I NEVER EVER hit him in any way, I taught him self control through being self controlled and controlling him when necessary. Now he is 29 and has owned his own very successful business for 8 years, he is happily married and has a beautiful daughter that is very sweet. Things can work out, but it takes alot of work and that in my opinion is what a parent is for.
