yea, i get wat u mean since ur hair grows 4rm ur head not tha end of ur hair strand, lol..but i think it helps to cut, so tha ends of ur hair dont look so scraggly, and by tha time u actually do cut ur hair, u have to cut off like, half of it so u can get rid of tha dead ends.

Cutting your split ends will keep your hair healthy. Healthy hair grows faster! The longer you wait, the more damaged your hair becomes and you will eventually have to get a hair cut.

No. What it does is get rid of the unhealthy ends that would only get worse as you grow your hair. Cutting split ends means that your hair will 'grow' more slowly, but far more healthy.

Trimming slip ends will only make your hair look better. It will NOT make it grow faster. You can't make your hair grow any faster than it naturally wants to - I asked my hair stylist.
People's hair also has a "pre-set" limit on how long it will grow to. Some people could never cut their hair again and yet it won't grow past the middle of their back.
Cutting it will lighten its weight and get rid of some damage - which might mean less breakage but not more hair.

you're ultimate on your assessment. Clipping or trimming split ends does not make your hair strengthen swifter. What i've got confidence is going on is while your hair splits that's dry and broken. in case you're taking it between your palms and seem on the ends they appear as if lighter in colour than the wholesome component of the hair shaft. many times maximum persons positioned on gentle colored clothing interior the spring and summer season, the growing to be seasons. The hair is gentle and does not seem to strengthen because of the fact it blends in with gentle colored clothing. while the ends are blunt decrease it leaves the darker shaft because of the fact the hair end. we can greater effectively see develop while the top is darkish and subsequently it feels like the hair is growing to be swifter because of the fact you could now music its develop greater easy. it is greater fairly seen to be growing to be. So . . . . it is an phantasm with a psychological twist. basically my theory.

Yes and no.
When your hair splits, those pieces will eventually break away from the rest of the strand., shortening the length of your hair. The hair wo't get LONGER if you cut the split ends, but cutting them off will help keep pieces of your hair from breaking away.

It really does work. When you cut the split ends, you are getting rid of damaged hair. I get my ends clipped every six months and I can see the difference in my hair length.

In a way....it neatens your hair and it means that your hair will stay in longer because it doesnt split and fall off, so it gets to grow to its full potential.

No, it keeps your hair healthy-looking and less apt to tangle, which could help in keeping the length of hair you do have.
What makes hair grow is proteins.

no. cutting the ends has no effect on the root, or the area beneath the skin where the hair grows. Think about it, your hair is dead cells how could it communicate to the root to grow? it has no effect.
