How can anybody believe that a human being was actually God incarnate? The fact that the Messiah was not going to be just a prophet but Mighty God himself, was therefore a truth that had been prophesied seven hundred years Before Christ in the Old Testament(Tawrat) by prophet Isaiah, and not something that had been made up by Christians many years or centuries after Christ! It was God's own promise that he will come in flesh (Immanuel = God with us) and will establish a kingdom that will last forever.
I am an EX MUSLIM, accepted Jesus Christ as my LORD and SAVIOR.

In Isa.7:14, we read,
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."

God Bless You! Isaiah also shows in Isaiah 53 that the Messiah would save his people from sin by his death. Christ in Luke did agree with this prophesy and claimed he would fulfill it."For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was reckoned with transgressors’; for what is written about me has its fulfillment" (Luke 22:37, RSV). The quoted verse is Isaiah 53:12.
Jesus agreed with the prophesies of Isaiah 53 which predates him and we have written record of it from 250 BC..Jesus was in agreement with the prophets before him and did fulfill the prophesies of Isaiah which foretold of him as Savior who would atone for sin with his life.
Isaiah 800 years before Christ made prophesies of the coming Messiah that he would be a savior and atone for the sins of his people with his blood. Christ did teach from Isaiah and referenced Isaiah 53 as the prophesy he must fulfill.

Why not leave Islam alone. If Christianity works for you, that's great and I encourage you on your spiritual quest. I ask that you remember the words of Rumi who said that "there are as many paths to God as there are children of Adam and Eve."
Furthermore, citing prophecies from the Old Testament is problematic at best. Recall that the other prophecies called for the weapons to be converted into plough shares and for the lions to lay down with the lambs once the messiah came.

Yes, because a book written and translated by man couldn't have any lies/mistakes. Yes, I am a Lutheran. ;)
The only difference is....Muslims believe that Jesus was a great Prophet....Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God/God himself...;)

Prophet Mohammad(pbuh) was also predicted in the old testament. so that means both Jesus(pbuh) and Muhammad(pbuh) were prophets, so they wouldnt lie. so that means if Muhammad(pbuh) said that Jesus(pbuh) was a human being then we know that is what Jesus(pbuh) must have said. you see the whole Christian faith stands upon Jesus'(pbuh) resurrection, and Quran denies the resurrection, and since the Quran has never been changed, which one will you believe. and they have found a scroll from the 2nd or 3rd century called nag hammadi which denies the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus(pbuh).
here is the verse from the nag hammadi scroll.
“I did not succumb to them as they had planned… And I did not die in reality but in appearance, lest I be put to shame by them …For my death which they think happened [happened] to them in their error and blindness, since they nailed their man unto their death … It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. It was another upon whom they placed the crown of thorns … And I was laughing at their ignorance.”
i hope this tiny evidence could help you see the truth again.
thank you.

Jesus knew about the prophecy. It would be very easy for him to claim that he had fulfilled it.
