weight training is not gona help you to get rid of fat - it just builds muscle.
cardio - 4-6 times a week for 30-50min is what you need to burn fat, but unfortunately we cant choose which body parts to lose the weight off.

It is not just a matter of weight training but also a matter of diet. One needs to drink plenty of fluids, eat right (no processed foods, eliminate excess cabs, excess fat, excess sugar) and take some supplements (vitamins, protein,etc..)
3 times per week.
Are you trying to be lean? or be big?
Muscle is heavier than fat and you can use the fat to feed the muscle. You clearly need to change your diet so that you don't keep getting fatter.
I hope this help!

I'm a boxer so i know about this. I have to keep a certain size. If Ur trying to lose weight I would do about 30 Min's of each. And when you lift, lift a little not a lot. But it is important to lift. So don't just blow it off. Good luck
