I pulled a Yahoo search, then a Google. There are several universities with a 500 Building, and I caught a reference to some Lockheed Building 500, but couldn't narrow that one down. I guess Drewpie will get around to explaining it for us. Sounds interesting.

Building 500 in Evendale Ohio was (and might still be called) the Development Assembly Building, where General Electric builds and tests the newest jet engine hardware. Could it be?

Building 500 at Offutt AFB, Nebraska was the old Strategic Air Command's headquarters. StratCOM may still be HQ'd there -- it's been a while.
