A green screen sounds like a video codec problem.

Some video sites are a bit dodgy because they have large video sizes uploaded and usually a large volume of traffic.

So videos can take a very long time to buffer (or load), sometimes up to half an hour.

I suggest sticking to YouTube, Google Video and similar sites that have smaller video sizes and servers that can cope with all those viewers..

Other than that, the only thing you can do is improve your broadband speed and computer speed... sorry!

I would try lowering your screen video size on the player. lower it to like 56k. It might be set too high, like on 300k. Also, do you have a good internet connection? If you have dial up, that may also be the issue. How powerful is your video card. Try turning it down and see if that helps. WARNING: messing with the video card's power may cause some or all programs to not function properly. I would not reccommend changing your video card settings unless you know what you are doing.

Buffering just means it is loading. It might be working in a pop up, or you computer might be blocking it. If you have a dial up connection then that will probably be a problem.

This happens sometimes with older versions of windows media player try to play new files.

The same thing happens on older files with a corrupted ffdshow filter. I think the new media player has a better version of that filter.
