If he is so crazy about you then he will wait to see if your current relationship runs its course...you have to be careful about what people say cause there are all kinds of liars out there...if he waited 13 years then he can wait awhile longer

How do you feel about the guy you are currently seeing. Two months is usually long enough to have a decent idea if things will work out over the long haul. Once you answer that question you can either write off the old friend or realize it's time to ditch the BF.
Who knows if it is just talk or not, only he does. You said he is easy and comfortable to talk with and that you really believe him. Go with your gut feelings, it is usually right.

I think he is being sincre, but I also think he isnt being very tactful. He expressed his interest in you, you know him. What he wants at this point doesnt matter. What do you want?
He should be able to step back and let you make your choice without alot of pressure and respect the fact that you are and were already with someone. If it works out with the guy your with too bad for him, If it doesnt work out with the guy you are with then you know he is interested and can explore that possibility. Too dump the known for a maybe, I don't think would show much character on your part and would probably crush the current guy.

There is absolutely, positively no way anyone who doesn't know this guy personally could tell what he's thinking based on the limited information available. A coin toss could predict his intentions as accurately.
If you're not happy with the guy you're dating, break up with him for that reason - not because somebody from your past has resurfaced. If you are happy with the guy you're dating, turn the other one down. If you two are meant to be together, you'll get together when you're both ready and available.

Only you can answer this, you have to go with your gut. If you feel your new relationship isn't worth keeping then go for it. If you feel this new guy is better then what you got then go for it. If you are happy where you are then forget about the other guy. Way out the pros and cons before you make a decision.

you're dating the guy you're with for a reason, right? so tell this other guy friends is all he gets as long as you're involved with someone else. either he respects that or he doesn't - if he doesn't, you're better off without him (he's selfish and doesn't rank your commitments or honesty very highly).
give the guy you're dating the best chance he can get - be fair to him and yourself.
*if* this relationship doesn't work out, and the other guy was respectful of your choice and is still interested in you, worry about him then
