Maybe in some churches but I would say in the majority of Christian churches promote God ordained marriages, and by that I mean marriages performed by a minister. I really doubt many Christian churches support common law marriages but I may be wrong. There are Christian churches that support homosexuals so I anything is possible.

JennyAnn,
I can not believe that such is the case in the Lord's Church. I might be wrong but I have not seen any of this is our little Church group. We have about 200 Sunday morning and 150 Sunday evening. We also have a Bible study on Wednesday evenings that has about 120 people in attendance. We welcome visitors almost every week and have Home Bible Studies at two different locations that I know of. Common Law practice would be difficult in a group that truly understood what our FATHER expects of HIS CHILDREN, wouldn't it? Have a wonderful day.
Thanks,
Eds

Yes they are alive and booming but to be accepted as a "married couple" one must profess with there mouth to GOD or a Judge that they vow themself to one person forever to be accepted as a marriage.

I don't know, but it seems all people had to do in the bible to get married was have sex, so I don't see the difference.
