I would use squares of a sheer fabric or tulle and put gold foil wrapped hershey kisses(50th=gold) in them then tie them with a pretty little ribbon of a contrasting color. Walmart is selling the REALLY huge bags of candy now so they may even have the econo sized bags to save a bit of money. If not try a candy store for bulk. Or try your dollar store for the pretty little votives that come in a holder wrap them in the sheer fabic or tulle. you might even be able to find little tulle or organza sacks to put them in at the dollar store

when my aunt and uncle had their 50th, they bought those gold plastic rings from Wal*Mart. So, get those, go get this boxed candle wax and make really nice, inexpensive candles. You can even put a copy of their wedding picture in it. As long as you can work a computer, these are cheap and nice.

How about making cookies, take a heart shaped cookie cutter and make a big batch of heart cookies but before baking them cut them in half then bake them, after they are done baking take them out and frost them in your colors, the cookie being one color and then on one half of the heart put the letter of your first name and then on the other the letter of your husbands name, use a really pretty font and the frosting should be in your other color. I think its really cute, affordable, something you and friends can do together for fun and it symbolizes the union of two hearts!

Like I said before, go to the Michael's craft store website, you can substitute items once you print them out and take it to WalMart.
