I gave birth the day after I was due. This may sound strange but check and see when the full moon is around your due date. Three people I know have had their babies the day after the full moon. Also with first time moms it is usually more common to go overdue, but everyone is different.

My daughter was exactly 2 weeks late. I had a scheduled c section with my son, and I believe he was early. The baby will come when he wants to. The chart they use to predict is just an educated guess. And, I don't believe that ultrasounds are any better. I had 5 when I was pregnant with my son and with every single one they gave me a different due date, all within about 10 days of each other. My doctor did the c section when he did because he was going on vacation and didn't want me to go into labor while he was gone. But, I'm pretty sure I could have waited another 2 or 3 weeks.

1 1/2 weeks early. By reading the answers most babies wanna come out before there due. Its just an estimate no one knows when its coming except for the baby. Good Luck!

I knew the exact moment I got pregnant for my four children. Based on the 9 month rule or so many days, I calculated that I would give birth on such & such a day. My doctors always made that day sooner. For example, the doctors said I would have my first son the end of January. However, I did not have him until the 5th of Feb. Then, my daughter was due by what the doctor said, on March 15th, but I did not have her until April 4. Then, the other son I knew would or could be born September 18th. But, the doctor wanted to induce labor & kept poking around in me on the date HE wanted me to give birth.. Sept 5 plus. I finally agreed to the inducing (bad) & gave birth on one of his convenient days ... Sept 10.. while they were watching tv (annoying). The men docs kept trying diff things like breaking a membrane inside me weekend before. When my water broke, it was not water, it was BLOOD... the nurse ran out of the room & quickly returned. It was scary, and the heartbeat was lost once. But, I gave birth & he is healthy. BUT at the 6 week checkup I had Strep A at both ends I was burning up. Female doc saved my life & male doc said in olden days I would have died. Luckily for antibiotics & going for a six wk ckup... I had my mother in law with me who was an RN. She verified this experience, so I did not make it up. My family doc's helper did not believe me that it was Strep A that I had, so my female gynocologist faxed her the proof that yes I did have it then. Usually a woman does not know when she was first impregnated, therefore, how you can prove if a birth was 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late? I know there are ultrasounds, but what if the baby is just a big baby... they can't really tell for sure the exact age, but guess pretty good if you knew when your last period was etc. There are many preemies but there are many reasons. I knew a girl who would not quit smoking & her baby was born dead on Xmas day. My gynocologist said it was a direct result of smoking. Long story. But, if you are a smoker, there is more chance of having a lower weight on the baby when it is born, and more chance of it being born early (and smaller). What you ingest is what you have to watch out for. I did a study for a pharmacist on effects of drugs in a pregnancy. Tonic water can cause deafness at a certain stage in your pregnancy. Aspirin is bad. I was worried about diet coke, but a dietician says it was OK. Still, go by your own female instincts. Don't drink it anyway. OR Coke, when you are PG because of the caffeine. Why take a chance. If a woman is late, there is cause for worry also. I know of an older couple that lost their child, because they waited too long. It died inside her. Sometimes, you just can't wait, if the baby is due for many reasons. Especially if you are an older mom. Also, if you get into an accident, you could have the baby early. I knew of a gal who misscarried because she was reaching & painting. So, maybe the fumes & her extending her body parts? contributed to the miscarriage. So many factors. One of my girlfriends found out she had a cervix that kept dropping the babies out. It had to be tied up for her last baby, so she would not lose another one. She lost twin boys at 6 months. So, every woman's body is different, and you have to find a doctor you can trust & be monitored. Hope this helps.

1 week early...according to the doctor's calendar. My son was 7 lbs 12 oz. Imagine how big he would have been had I gone to term.
Babies come when they want. If you go past your due date, the doctor will take measures to get the baby here.
