I have an English Cocker Spaniel, but I am wondering how often should I give him a full shower?
We live in Turkey so it's pretty dusty I was thinking once a week?

I live in Dubai; same theme.
(He lives outside in his dog house that has AC)

I brush his fur daily. Wash him twice a week, and groomed once a month. He's never smelly always clean and fluffy fur.

You can bathe your dog as needed. Once a week is fine if you are using a good quality shampoo follwed by conditioner and rinsing really good.

The quality of shampoos now a days will not strip the dogs of its natural oils. That was true YEARS ago when shampoos were detergent based.

I bathe my dog weekly, and have been for the past 4 years, I also have several clients dogs that I bathe weekly, and biweekly...never had any problems

Once in 2 weeks during summer and once in 4 weeks during winter. If your dog goes out quite often then give him a bath once a week.

I am not giving you a perfect answer so you better consult the vet.

It's up to you. I usually wash my dog once a month, but I try to brush her at least once or twice a week (she has a lot of hair). Brushing is more important than washing, and you want to be careful because too much washing can dry out the dogs skin and make them itchy. A lot of people will tell you once a week, but I think that's too much.

Too much.. They should be bathed as seldom as possible. They have a natural oil on their coat that protects the fur and the skin.. When you bath them, this protection washes off, leaving them open to problems. If you can wipe him down with water it would be better.. Brushing will get the dust out.. A full bath with soap, shouldn't be done weekly,, monthly even.

The only reason to bathe a dog is if he stinks and it offends you or for medical reasons. I have three dogs that never get baths because they don't stink. One gets a bath once in a while due to allergies which causes her to get a rash.

One a month, that is because if you shower alot him/her their skin will dry up. Also they will shed more, it is recommended to shower them once or maybe twice a month

When he looks dirty. If he looks fine then I would skip the bath.
