Kaaba is the holiest place in Islam.

Built many centuries ago by the Prophet Ibrahim, to represent the House of God, it became misused by those living at Mekkah (Mecca, Saudi Arabia) who filled it with idols.

This situation continued for hundreds of years after the death of Ibrahim..

When Prophet Mohammad arrived and cleared it of all those things, it finally became a clean sanctuary and all Muslims today turn toward Mecca for their daily prayers.

The Ka'abah was built by Abraham as the first place of worship for Allah on earth. When all muslims on earth pray, we are to pray facing the direction of Ka'abah. When muslims make pilgrimage (Hajj) they make pilgrimage starting at the Ka'abah. Every prayer a muslim prays at the Ka'abah is like praying 100,000 prayers. There is nothing in the world as simplistic and majestic as the Ka'abah. Muslims get rewards just for looking at the Ka'abah. It The Ka'abah is the Holiest site for Muslims in the world, after that is the Prophets Mosque in Madina
