I'm no math wiz, but judging by these numbers, we should be kicking smokers and the obese out of our country before illegal immigrants when speaking in regards to healthcare costs.
Little over $1billion for illegals.
Little over $70billion for smokers.
$330 billion for obese people.

Are these smokers and obese people citizens? Are you saying that illegals don't smoke, and illegals aren't fat?
I recently had a stay in a large county hospital, I saw only 2 other white patients, very few black patients, the rest were all hispanic. Were they legal, can't say for sure, but willing to bet that most were not.

Illegal aliens have broken the law f the US. They are the biggest drain.
Next come the scum, of the earth, cancer suckers (smokers). At least if i eat my way to obesity I don't exhale toxic fumes that endanger you.
Deport the illegals. Make cigarettes $200 a pack, and make it legal to shoot smokers on sight, especially if you identify them as an illegal alien!... when all that is taken care of we can start talking about 'challenges' further down your list.

Illegal aliens are one of the biggest drains on our health care system. They come to our emergency rooms for basic health care and of course do not pay. This is the prime reason ERs are closing all over our country

But did the illegals PAY for this health care???
The answer is NO!
The smokers and obese (who are not illegal aliens) PAY TAX!
They need to pay all back taxes with interest then get in the tax system if they want to use the system!

And not only that but Social Security is automatically deducted from income, so unless the employer is evading taxes, the difference between what the illegal and the obese pay to the government is marginal.
Oh, and since the real issue apparently is the law, we might as well deport 95% of the people on our freeway systems for speeding.

How much it costs to treat a given malady isn't an issue of 'draining' the system, it's just a matter of what the system has to cope with. People who are not supposed to be part of the system, who take resources from it are a 'drain.'

If an illegal immigrant (ie someone who doesn't belong in the country) is using one dollar of our tax money it is wrong; if an illegal kills one American, it is wrong; if an illegal steals one persons' identity, it's wrong.
You posted figures that are in the millions and that's incredible!

just have to re-iterate what Stony said:
The fat and the nicotine addicted are engaging in LEGAL activities, skippy. Your illegal friends are NOT.
It's about the LAW, nothing else.

The obese and smokers are LEGAL, sure it would be great if they were healthy, but at least they pay for their care.

Your an idiot, state and federal tax MAKES money off of cigarettes, otherwise they would be illegal. Fat people eat more, so they spend more, therefor we again speak of more money in the economy.
