This sensitivity is something that a counselor could work with you on. You mentioned feeling immature, and having communication problems, and your job.
A counselor and you can take a look at why you might be feeling stuck, or why some things in your life aren't working for you. Then the counselor would work with you , much like a coach as you learn and practice to find what works for you. It can be immensely helpful to your future to have an objective look at how and why you do what you do. The counselor's training is aimed at just such difficulties.
It might feel like an expensive thing to do, but this is making an investment in your future -- and quite valuable.

have you ever talked to a doctor about this? yout communication problem could be ADD. If it is not try to make a game for yourself. Everyday when you go to work tell yourself you are going to talk to a certain person: like someone wearing blue, or with red hair. Then make up an interesting conversation starter. maybe something wacky to keep it interesting
