Dont get me onto this subject, I am married to one, I am not one, and I have to say this Religion has divided our Marriage, it has come between us time after time, he does things behind my back all the time to do with this religion, I studied it for a couple of years about 10 years ago, and i hated it, they are all hypocrites. I am sick to death of Jehovahs witnesses, I just wish they would all go away and leave us alone, and take their ruddy Watch Tower Magazines with them, Yes Unforgiven_Black_Shadow, this is your wife asking you to listen to your wife a bit more

There are a lot of good and truthful answers here. Those of us who are Jehovah's Witnesses would like nothing more than help every one we talk to come to an accurate knowledge of Jehovah God, His kingdom and his Word, the Bible. Those who don't want this knowledge, have the opportunity each time we talk to them, to change their minds based on accurate information. Many of these people get upset and angry because we visit them over and over again. We don't do this because we're trying to force them to listen; we make repeated calls because we love our neighbors and want everyone to come out from under the bondage of Christendom where they are taught doctrines and ideas that are not in the Bible.( One example: the cross. The cross wasn't even conceived or thought of until nearly 400 years after Jesus died! Yet it still remains a major icon in many of today's religions.) Regardless of what level of learning a person is at, he/she can say at any time that the Truth is not for them and we will respect their decision. But, at least, they will have some accurate information to base their decision on.

You have some very good answers and by now should have a much broader idea of "what we are about". To learn more, please feel free to ask for a personal Bible study. It is free and can be conducted at your own home. You can use whatever Bible you feel comfortable using. You can contact the local Kingdom Hall in your area or use the form in the following link to request one.
https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm
Here is another link to an article that will shed light on our beliefs as well...
http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm?article=article_01.htm
Hope this helps!

we are family people, with regular jobs, I'm a professional IT consultant, we follow the bible, call ourselves christians, Worship God using his Bible name Jehovah. We pray and try to live our lives by Jesus Christs examples. Everything we believe is Bible based, we are non political and we don't force the bible down your throats. If I minister and someone tells me to go away I do. I don't get upset, I don't lose sleep, it does not bother me. I feel fortunate that i have had the chance to learn the truth and I would like all to learn the truth but if you don't want to then its not my problem, that between you and Jehovah

We are not a cult. We are all about following the commands of Jesus Christ to go to the distant part of the earth and preach, teaching, and making disciples. We do not believe in the Trinity becase Jesus never taught this to his apostles. No where in the Bible will you ever find the word Trinity or Jesus claiming to be the Almighty God himself.
Religious cults have rituals and ceremonies. Other manifestations of the cult of a deity are the preservation of relics or the creation of images, such as icons, or three-dimensional cultic images, denigrated as idols.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not practice rituals nor' do we have images or relics or icons and use them as idols.
We are true Christians trying hard to live by Bible principles.
And by the way......... what money? we don't even get paid for preaching-- our preaching work is voluntary. We all have secular jobs to support ourselves. We don't sell our magazines either.

we are families just like anyone else. many work on jobs. we all pay bills. we do what Jesus Christ commanded us at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. we may be your next door neighbor. if you want to learn about Jehovah Witnesses please visit our website at www.watchtower.org. many people keep saying we are a cult. a cult worships man. we worship Jehovah and Jesus Christ his son. we would not invite people to the kingdom hall or work on jobs if we where a cult. the kingdom hall is always open to anyone who would like to learn about us. we are not soliciting. soliciting is selling and we do not sell our magazines or books. they are free as our bible studies are free.

Unlike fireball226 who worships a Egyptian Tri-God that she calls Jesus. JWs worship ONLY Jehovah and prays only to Jehovah by Jesus (and through Jesus via the) example of the Lord's Prayer.
JWs use the entire bible and any bible and are expected to practice in their daily lives what Jesus taught.

Sorry I'm having technical issues over here >-<
OK, what are we about? That's an awfully broad topic there!
We are true Christians who follow the Bible as closely as we can and heed Jesus' command to "Make disciples of people of all the nations . . . ." Matthew 28:19,20.
We are politically neutral and take seriously the command to "love our neighbor as ourself."
All of our literature is FREE OF CHARGE to anyone who is interested, and all of our meetings are open to the public. (Pretty pathetic cult we are to let anyone who wants to come waltzing into our Kingdom Halls! j/k)
For a rundown of our basic beliefs please visit our only official website at www.watchtower.org, or call your local Kingdom Hall and ask for a copy of the brochure "Jehovah's Witnesses- Who are they? What do they believe?"
:0) Sorry it took so long! My computer is throwing a tantrum this morning. I think it needs coffee too! :-p

Jehovah Witness Christians are commanded to Spread the Gospel of Jesus just as ALL the other Christian denominations are commanded to spread the Gospel as Jesus by God.
No Difference. They are ALL just following the commandment of Jesus. And Jesus said, "IF you Love Me, Obey My Commandments" John 14:15 - It is as simple as that!! *Many put them down, but they are simply obeying the command to spread God's [Jehovah - the name they use for God] Commandments out of love for Him.
`
Love, Peace and Friendship.
