Each beach is completely different and you need to contact both the county and the city b/c both are free to pass laws on permits.

The fee can be anything. A friend of mine got married on the beach and it was a $55 dollar permit. However, many have a deposit policy of $1,000. After the wedding, they investigate how much damage you may have done to the area and reward you most of the money back.

Each place has its own policy--with of course the beaches like Laguna Beach and near Malibu being a good deal more expensive. The price goes down substantially if you are up north towards the Oregon border.

Also check out the beach yourself. Many areas would not be able to have a beach wedding as the coastline is too rocky. Many places are closed during certain months for seals.

Also consider the parking. Many beach places have limited parking, and it would be horrible if your guests had to park more than a mile away when they were not expecting to.

So its very important to contact the individual beach and ask their policy as well as making sure the beach area is wide enough for the type of wedding you would like to have.

Good luck!

the 1st theory that got here to my strategies upon interpreting this post became a million. WHY is college training value is u . s . of america ridiculously costly? WHY do faculties want plenty funds? a school isn't a employer like Apple or Microsoft. My sister will graduate from her 4 years of faculty quickly and the finished coast of training pee paid for the time of those 4 years....is OMG too plenty. the quantity is particularly much as plenty simply by fact the U.S. national debt. 2. do faculties fairly want an excellent style of money? 3. u . s . of america is presently dealing with an financial disaster; this is envisioned to be between the worst ever in U.S. history. So unemployment is a transforming into project, the financial gadget is getting spoiled and there are extra harmless voters suffering below the poverty line. and that i'm no longer against the government however the federal government does not look sorting it out nicely. i don't be attentive to that plenty on the subject of the ecnonomy, so I found out from my sister (she's a company / economics substantial) and that i will tell that the country, the financial gadget etc are all dealing with a disaster. Soo....i don't be attentive to yet till the government supplies you to love help the undesirable pay for faculty or some thing I strongly advise that faculties do no longer enhance training costs. in any different case...u . s . of america will face an excellent worse educational disaster. Does the stuff I typed make experience? wish it does. And......the reliable information is that the costly training value paid to an incredible college became fairly nicely worth it considering that my sister have been given an incredible interest 2 weeks in the previous commencement.

Yes most local beaches in CA do require either a permit or you can rent out the location or both.

It depends on if you are just having a ceremony or a reception as well. If it is just the ceremony I belive it is just the hourly rental rate which is usually aorund $50. If you are holding a reception it would be the hourly rate plus a permit which varies by city.

Call the local park and recreation department of the beach you want to hold the wedding at.

I saw an episode of Bridezilla last seasona dn the bride said that they were virtually sneaking onto the beach (keeping it really simple) because they didn't have a permit, so I guess the answer is yes you do.

In the City of Laguna Beach the permit is $175.00.
