NO!!!! Bipolar disorder is considered a serious mental disorder. You cannot get a waiver for this to enlist in the military. Sorry. Try the Ameicorps. They may be able to help you with your situation and you will be able to live on site while you train.

1. You won't be able to leave in 3 weeks. I was the fastest person my recruiter ever had to go from MEPS to Basic Training, I went exactly 29days after MEPS. I went to MEPS 2 days after I walked in my recruiter's office. So the whole process took 31 days.

I HAVE HEARD of people leaving in as little as 19 days though. Rare.

2. You cannot join with severe bi-polar. If you need meds to function, forget about the military. If you have that low level bi-polar (I forget it's name) then you have a chance. Just don't go for Secret or Top Secret type jobs and you'll be fine. Try to get a Security Clearance and they'll pull up the bi-polar and kick you out.

circulate national shelter. You get a lot of an identical reward by fact the lively accountability squaddies, yet at merely 2 days labored each week. you may circulate to college on an identical time, as you stated, and being an officer will positioned you at a lots larger revenue as quickly as you end ROTC. national shelter won't station you in a miles off area, and you would be around your pals and kinfolk. Plus, you may continuously change from shelter to lively accountability in case you settle on that it may earnings you. Many NG squaddies have jobs in actuality same to their MOS for the time of the week. to illustrate, a sign soldier who works on IP networks could be a central authority contractor working a community admin job Monday by Friday. it is the case in many NG gadgets i've got labored with. The pay is lots extra worthwhile this sort, and Monday by Friday is spent relatively doing all your job, no longer mopping flooring and pulling weeds. considering most of the jobs are gov't jobs, you may earn in the direction of your retirement as in case you have been lively accountability, AND get credit in the direction of your retirement on your paintings in the shelter on an identical time. My suggestion is to communicate to the community shelter gadgets and ask what the squaddies there do for finished-time paintings. you will in all probability come across some great opportunities.
