Illegal immigrants of any country not only of the US do not have any right to demand that they be accepted and naturalized as citizens just because they can't make IT in their own country. Mexico is by far a better place to live in than many other third world countries. **

Kind of a strange question – I am not sure if the question is asking if the illegals should be treated as illegals based on our economy, their desire, or our nation’s lack of leadership! Our laws make it illegal for them to be here if they have entered illegally; the same as laws in their own countries.
They are illegal and until they do the right thing (as millions of aliens have done) and they will remain illegal until they do the right thing. They have a right to demand to be treated humanly when they are arrested and deported but nothing more. That also includes their families; NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND! The thought that a child born to an illegal in the United States makes the child a citizen of the U.S. is like saying if a lady in prison has a child while incarcerated that child will be considered a felon and has a right to remain in prisoner the rest of their life!!

According to law, illegal immigrants have certain rights, which apply to all residents of the US, and lack certain rights, those restricted to legal aliens or citizens. Since freedom of speech and assembly are granted to all persons inside the US, illegals have the right to parade and demand citizenship. However, they cannot vote, at least in federal elections, so they have no political power. They will be granted a path to citizenship by the US Congress only when the majority of political pressure on this issue is in that direction. For now, at least, it is not.

Rights of illegals include habeas corpus, speedy trial, trial by jury, due process of law for denial of life, liberty and property, and general municipal services (public hospitalization, public schooling through high school, police protection against criminals, fire protection of their residences and contents, court appointed attorneys, etc.) Rights denied include voting in State and Federal elections, working at a job, receipt of Social Security benefits, State sponsored college educations, and most Federal benefit or entitlement programs.

Nobody has a right to be in the US illegally - if you have the right to be here, you are legal. Illegals, by definition, are here without the right to be here. Rights do not depend on economies or policies - they are a matter of law. Policy is what an Administration chooses to do, whereas law is what the courts compel the government to do. Policy cannot legalize immigration that takes place contrary to law, only a change in law via legislative and/or judicial process can do that.

First of all, I detest that word "aliens" because it dehumanizes these people. According to the U.S. Constitution, they are in the country illegally because they were not naturalized or born in this country. But this Constitution states that they still have the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If they are pursuing happiness here and keeping the economy afloat by working jobs Americans will not, then my opinion is that they should not be considered illegals. This does not give them the right to peacefully assemble though.

Illegal immigrants have the right to pursue immigration through the proper legal channels. That should be the beginning and the end of their rights as illegal aliens.

I'm a little confused about what you are asking. But Illegal people do not have the right to demand anything, they should have tried requesting first, people may have been more sympathetic.

I do believe the west abused 3rd world countries to some degree. ALl government want unfair trade relations. England is actuall the worse. US has done some moderate wicked things. They gave bad economics advise to Russia, they made the world dependent on cheap American wheat and then jack up the price of foods. THe thing is that these countries wouldn't be in the mess of they didn't let the US do these things. CHina realize it and resist the easy fruit. Their ecoomy is booming because they refuse to fall for the traps AMerica made. THe other country is still at fault for taking the bait and ignoring all the other signs. THe countries that America screwed, got that way because those countries let AMerica do it. Russia could of looked at the world and realize, what was going on rather than want to take a short cut. Those country got dependent on AMerican wheat because they refuse to control their problem and didn't plan to find ways to produce more food. It's easy to point fingers, its harder to blame ones self. Most of the problems countries suffer is not AMerica's fault we just made it easier for them to fail. SOme of their problem amy be cause by past colonial opression, but that has nothing to do with AMerica. Most of the problem a country suffer is due to their tolerance of corruption.

Do I have the right to cut in front of you at the bank? Or at a fast food joint? No. So why do people defend ILLEGAL aliens who do basically the same thing to their compatriots?
And what 'rights' do we give to thieves who rob people in dark alleys? How is that different from illegals who help themselves to medical and social services intended for paying taxpayers?

Look at that word, "illegal".
Although some people think they should have all kinds of rights, I feel that they are entitled to a fair trial, followed by (if convicted) serious prison time and then deportation.

I guess we would have to ask all of the convicted thieves out there if they should also get to keep all of the items they have stolen without recourse. "Illegal" only has one meaning. Go ask Webster's Dictionary...
