good answers to all but i am not sure all are as informed as the others. some one wondering how the enemy is how short is our memory is. we did not attack them we are not the bad guys they killed over 3000 AMERICANS and laughed about it so if you feel we should not fight them over there then i do feel sorry for us if we need to fight them on U.S. soil

nice wording. lol. nice work. i don't think anyone can honestly say that they'd rather fight terrorists in our yard instead of theirs. if someone says yes, stay away from them. cause they're an idiot.

adding to that..... it's amazing how much people forget in 6 years. i'm almost to the point where i hope we do pull our troops back from EVERY corner of the globe and let the terrorists and rogue states do whatever they want. just so i can laugh at people that are against our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. and just to let you know, i'll wait and laugh when we're all incinerated by a dirty bomb, planes crashing into buildings, power plants exploding... etc etc etc. these people WILL NOT STOP HATING YOU. radical islam is the greatest threat to humanity since Nazism. you people need to wake the heck up and look at the broader scope of things. and stop listening to idiots like pelosi and cnn. those people are going to kill many many more than this war on terror has. and the big difference is..... ready????? it'll be all innocents that die. not our military that is paid to do this kind of job. you might as well go to your local police station and tell them not to do their jobs cause it's the same thing. we are the world's police. like it or not. we are the lone superpower. you want to leave the job up to the UN? or France? or Germany? lol you people are going to get us all killed.

We've virtually drawn our enemy into one combat zone. We have no new attacks on our soil, even though other countries, who have placated the enemy, are still being attacked. My answer, stay there & win the war. We need more troops over there, and we need to take care of the ones we already have over there. We need to continue to support them, not just in our words, but in our actions!

The Democrats don't have a clue what the American people want. They think they were given a "mandate" to pull out of the war...what they really got were a lot of conservatives who stayed home because they were disgusted with the choices they were given. If the Republicans would just get off their duffs and do what they SAID they'd do, instead of trying to be more "moderate", we might actually vote for them again!

Why does everyone keep on calling it a war? It's no longer a war since the other nation's military has been defeated. What it is is now a CONFLICT. There is no clear enemy out there but terrorists and insurgents.

Setting a timetable for withdrawal is just like telling all the bad guys to get ready to spread more chaos and mayhem. Pulling out would be worst. You would paint a picture of a weak America which in turn would in invite more terrorist attacks at home - more emboldened ones!

I don't believe that we are there for oil. We are there to keep them busy on their turf. And to bring in Walmart....not the oil.

If we had spent the amount of money on home defense that we have spent in Iraq you wouldn't even be able to buy a piece of fruit that hadn't been cut open and inspected. But as it is they could ship a whole container full of terrorists to the US and no one would ever know.
A good offense isn't worth a crap if you don't have an equally good defense. Anyone that has ever played in sports knows that.

As a Vet... I prefer to do the fighting over THERE.

BUT, since the majority party is insistent on withdrawl... I guess we'll eventually be fighting here. I can't WAIT to see their reaction when there are car-bombs, chlorine bombs, etc in the DC, New York, Hollywood, and San Francisco areas.

I wonder what "they" will say THEN ?

Why not bring them home and spend the billions we have spent there to fix up our own country. schools, health care, New Orleans, poverty area are right here for the asking. I have said this before, this is a never ending war because the people there don't want it. We "got" our weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Husein, so why are we still there. We are going to be there 50 years from now as peace keepers. We're still in Korea 50 years later.

I feel we should bring our troops home. Not send any more( which have already gone) but it's too late now. We, as a nation have so many problems that need attending to that the focus has been too much abroad. I personally would love to impeach the President.

thats a question that should b cited to bush. i agree w the whole idea of paying them bastards bak for 911; but how much longer are we gonna have our men-women tortured and killed in a bloody battle? i say our troops should b removed from Iraq; but if that was to happen we wuld only put several more innocent American citizens life at hand. troops take the oath to protect the U.S.A. in all combat even if he-she doesnt agree totally with it; so i say leave 'em.

We need to come home. This war was wrong from the beginning and everyone knew it. We have done so much more harm than good and we call the world a safer place.
