My best friend's mom had all kinds of issues with my friend's wedding, including the church they were married in, the dress the bride wore, everything. But my friend stood her ground and had the wedding she wanted to anyway, which made her mom miserable. Her mom drank herself into a stupor at the shower, the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, but thankfully her mom is a quiet drunk, so she just sat at her table and looked pissed all night. At least she didn't cause a scene. And this wasn't anything my friend wasn't expecting, so she just ignored her mom.

As for me, my sister hates weddings, so she was ridiculous at my shower (I think she was high), and she got drunk at our wedding. I actually saw her roll her eyes during our ceremony, and she blew out a side door instead of coming past us after the wedding. At the reception, she got drunk and left early, which is fine by me.

i have surely not in any respect encountered a real life Bridezilla. I actually have an somewhat certain definition of a bridezilla. If a females is bitchy, stressful, self-established and finished of herself 24/7, 3 hundred and sixty 5 days a three hundred and sixty 5 days; i do not evaluate her a bridezilla if she freaks out over her wedding ceremony. i'd assume that. it really is her personality and her way of being. My definition of the bridezilla is a man or woman who in many circumstances is fairly useful, calm, nicely-mannered and rational; yet, at the same time as her wedding ceremony comes round she loses all of those useful attributes and could develop right into a brilliant bltch. She's a bridezilla because right here tittle (bride-to-be) has made her that way. She wasn't like that in the previous. i imagine the brides on that teach are those who in many circumstances are very self-established, grasping, impolite and stressful perpetually, no longer purely round their wedding ceremony.

Heavens yes! This is the guest who complains about everything! From where she's sitting, to who she's sitting with (even when there's no seating chart), to the food, drinks, music and how the bride didn't throw the bouquet to her. You'd think she was the one getting married!

There's also the uncle/cousin/friend who has a little too much to drink and wants to start fights with everyone or tell the bride/groom's intimate embarrassing secret. They throw up on the floor, bump into people trying to dance, spill food/drink on other guests.

Didn't you see The Wedding SInger?!

Oh yes! She is usually the one talking about how she could have done it all better or she would have made her guests more comfortable somehow. I've even known some people who are not related to the bride but will call with their unsolicited advice months before the wedding! It's insane.

I sure hope this isn't something you have to deal with personally!!

Yes I have. It was one of my relatives who was not a parent of the couple at my cousin's wedding. After the wedding, I wanted to snap some pictures of the wedding party before the photographer they hired, the bride is like a sister to me and this relative just turned me out like a stranger off the street!

Needless to say, the professional's pictures were awful.

Nope. Sure there can be some cranky guests who like to complain, but nothing at all on par with bridezillas, who lose all common sense and common decency for an extended period of time.

hahaha yes! It was a bridesmaid-zilla! My boyfriends sister got drunk at her sisters wedding and just randomly came up to me and started yelling about how I don't want to be a member of their family! Mostly becuase I didn't go out to get my nails done with them the day before (I already had them done and didn't want to spend the money to have them re-done). She really caused a scene!

i've never seen a guest become as obnoxious as a bridezilla, but you will always have the guests who have to complain about something...the food, the dresses, the flowers, the music, where they are sitting, who they are sitting with...blah blah blah!! ive noticed that it tends to be older women that do this...grandma's mainly. i dont know why they do this. just remember that its your wedding day and that you have to focus on making yourself happy that day, because no matter what you do, you cant make everyone happy. if you try, it will make you nuts! good luck!

I think Mom's are guestzillas lol. They like to control what you do during your wedding....maybe other family members too, especially family members that don't approve of part of the wedding.

My Mother-in-law was our "Guestzilla" She pouted the whole night, and was rude to my parents and family (we are not as well-off as them). I felt really sorry for my husband, and he was quite embarrassed. Her husband was totally fed up with her. However, she did leave the wedding early, as everyone else was having too much fun, and everyone felt more at ease.
