My boyfriend Mark and I have been going out for ALMOST a year, tomorrow is our one year anniversairy.
He's 16 and a junior and I'm 15 and a sophmore. I told him I wanted to wait until I was out of high school to have sex because I don't want to have to deal with the consequences now. He agreed with my decision.
But then yesterday he told me that his friend Colin told him that he said that if we really loved each other, we should be having sex. I told him if he really loved me, he would wait.
He didn't reply, he just kind of sighed, and ten minutes later I just decided to leave.
I'm not sure what to do. We really love each other, despite the fact that we're young.
He's never normally like this, he's the sweetest, cutest guy I've ever met. We can talk about EVERYTHING together. He really listens to me. He isn't an animal or a pervert like a lot of other guys. But this surprised me.
What do I do? I still want to wait, but now I guess I'm not sure.

I know he probably will wait until I'm ready, but I don't want to bore him or anything then him beginning to resent me, I guess. I'm fearful of disappointing him.

I myself waited until after I was out of high school. Too many of the people I was in school with were having sex and it had consequences I wasn't prepared to deal with (three of the girls in my class had babies before we graduated and I only had 36 people in my graduating class). Don't do something based on what other people are doing around you. If your boyfriend truly loves you, he will wait. If he doesn't, and you feel pressured to have sex, then you know that what you are feeling isn't real true love, but high school love. I hesitate to tell you that for fear that you will want to ignore any advice that makes it seem like you aren't truly in love. But as a voice of experience you need to know that you should ALWAYS, ALWAYS do what is right for you. If you want to wait, you should wait and your boyfriend should respect your decision.
And I disagree with anyone who tells you that just because your boyfriend may or may not be a virgin may mean he'll cheat. The chances of anyone cheating are usually the same. It's whether you act on the urge that you need to focus on. If he cheats, he cheats and you're better off without someone who would disregard your feelings so readily.
Good luck and do try to talk to your parents if you decide to go ahead and have sex.

Don't let anyone pressure you in doing something you don't want to do. Guys use that line all the time. People have sex all the time that don't love each other. Tell him if he really loved you he can wait until you guys are old enough to afford the consequences of sex.

He could be feeling pressure from his friends, Peer Pressure is a big factor in guys his age. Stick to your resolution to wait until after HS. If he loves you, he WILL wait. Don't have sex with him in fear of losing him. That would be selling yourself out. Talk to him about the peer pressure thing, since you two are so good at talking.

Hunnie listen to me,
In all honesty if he really loved you he would wait for you. He shouldn't be listening to his Friends anyway. you and him both agreed so what is the problem now. If your not ready don't feel pressured into having sex if you don't want to. wait until your ready... once you have sex in a relationship you just cant go back to holding hands again

i just went through a pregnancy scare this past week because me and my boyfriend had sex and the condom broke. i'm only a sophmore in high school as well, and he is a junior also (ironically) if you do chose to have sex with him, talk to ur parents about birth control, like the patch, depo shot or the pill. also have protected sex ALWAYS if you don't want to have to deal with the consequences. trust me on this

Its wonderful which you're conserving your floor! stable for you! And confident it is particularly everyday, everybody is going at their very own %.. And no it would not tutor which you're scared. Having intercourse for the 1st time is a substantial deal. waiting is stable... extra beneficial risk-free than sorry! in line with threat its because of fact he's pressuring you and keeps asking you, that could make me pick to no longer have intercourse with my boyfriend if he did that!

well.. some how i believe he get influences by his friend Colin, i believe he told your boyfriend, Mark, about how good it is having sex.
I don't know much about Colin, but perhaps he has a girlfriend who agree to have sex with him, and your boyfriend wants it too.
well... stick with your decision, i will not say you should or should not have sex with him, just do what you think is right. =)

If you get married, then you will have the rest of your life to have sex, so what's the rush? If you are not going to get married, then you will regret sleeping with someone that you no longer like.
If he loves you, he will wait.
===edit===
Don't worry about disappointing him -- he will get over it. It will make him tough.

Wait. If he really loves you he will wait for you. If not he is not worth getting serious with anyway.
