The answer to this question is that mormons did slaughter people, but it was not the mormon church who slaughtered these people. why? well, it has never come down to a real factal conclusion, but some say because the men wanted to get even with arkansas for killing one of their leaders( parley P. Pratt) and others say that they wanted to keep Utah full of mormons.
Just to get a little off subject, it happened a long time ago, but people still persicute those of this religion. why is that? it is like if people were still angry for catholics molesting children. it doesnt happen that much any more and that only happened a few years ago. i do not persicute all catholics just because a few of their priests molested children so why is the whole mountain meadows massacre pended on all of them??

Wow, I am surprised. I have never heard of people of any religion slaughtering people that others have thought of as innocent. Is it even possible?
