It does not imply you want or desire one to go to hell, but it does recognize that there are consequences for every action or inaction, and that you (and I) believe that the consequence for not accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is not gaining entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Of course it doesn't mean you desire one to suffer that fate or feel one deserves that fate.... but what makes your beliefs the only right ones? What bothers me (i'm an atheist) is that christians go around spouting their scriptures as if it's the only religion ever created. Many have come before, many have come after.. just because christianity has more followers than most doesn't mean that they are the "right" religion.

What if I believed that you are going to hell if you don't believe in the giant invisible cat god that i worship? What makes your belief more solid than mine? A 2000 year old book? Egyptians domesticated & worshipped cats roughly 4000 b.c, believed they were sacred animals and even had gods/goddesses that were cat-like in their appearances. What makes christian beliefs right when my belief in the cat gods has been around a lot longer. Who are they to tell me if i do not believe what they believe I am going to hell... when maybe my belief tells me that THEY are the ones that are going to hell?

Does it imply you want or desire people to go to hell? No.
Does it imply you think people deserve going to hell? Yes.

Again, as I said before, you worship God and consider him as well as all his actions and dictates right and just. You thereby must concede that all he does and all his plans and all his rules are appropriate. You thereby concede that some people deserve the punishments God imposes.

I do too :0)
It's so nice to see a real question around here!

Yes, I think so. You are obviously assuming the role of judge and jury for this person, so I think you feel entitled to tell them where you believe they should go, i.e. hell.

A person who condemns another to hell is stealing the role that only God has- the reader of hearts and sole judge of mankind.

It's no one's place but God's to decide who goes where (assuming you believe in heaven/hell as most Christians do).

Personally, I don't believe good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell- neither one of these stances are supported in scriptures.

I don't think anyone has the right to condemn anyone else.

Reality is subjective to perception. Two people given mirrored experiences would perceive these situations differently. No one has a problem if you'd like to worry about going to hell or not. But keep it to yourself. Many of the rest of us do not believe there to be any basis for YOUR beliefs and are quite happy with our lives the way they are.

No, i impies that you think that the world functions in a way that people without salvation will go to hell. It does not mean you like it, it is just tthe way you think the world works.

debate is a healthy instrument to the learning process. To defend one side or the other is noble. When you get into Religion, (Your belief system). It becomes more than a debate to many. Now they are defending their integrity. Many people(non-discript) take that challenge and become angry, for you have insulted their belief. To many times this status is what is sought instead of knowledge to grown in.

Hiya TTC!

Yes, it implies that the one you're serving, worshipping, is just and...well worthy of worship! If you thought his actions were immoral and unjust, you wouldn't worship him, would you? So by following him, you approve of his actions. Unless you're just following him because he's threatening you or something, but I don't think thats the case.
