Don't keep any drugs in the house and don't spend time around people who do drugs. You could distract yourself with exercise, food, or something else that's legal. If you feel like you are psychologically addicted, you could see a therapist to work through your issues and not use drugs as a crutch.

If you're mentally addicted to pot there is no doubt that you have an addictive personality. As vague as that might sound your trying to substitute for something else that is missing in your life. Think about the first time you smoked up and then think when you start smoking solo and why you did it. Were you bored. Were you self medicating for depression or anxiety? Think about the root of the issue and why you turned to a daily toker. I give you the credit to realizing there is an issue with this and you are attempting to take action. Tell all your friends that you are trying to stop and if they are true friends they will stop doing it in front of you and guide you when you have temptations. I'm not an anti cannabis enthusiast I just have a bit of experience under my belt. It's just going to take self discipline. Remember this is Marijuana not an ampetamine, it is not an opiate, it is one of the safest substances that you could ever intake. Former heroine addicts would laugh at you. You don't need an anecdote or a substitute like alcohol. I'm not saying it will be easy because I don't know you or how you live your life but it should be achievable. Best of luck to you buddy.

This will never stop. You could quit for years and every once and a while you'll get the urge. Either live with it or without it. It's all in your head.

Narcotics Anonymous. If you enter it on your own free will, no one can legally touch you (i.e., your boss). You can't ignore the cravings on your own (unless you are VERY strong) and it's best to have a support system. NA is meant for that very thing. Look in your region's phone book for a phone number.

One of life's great achievements. Its called will power. I stopped 6 years ago and still think about it every single day at least twice. The easiest way is to not be around it. If your like me and your around it you will do it so stay away.

Go for it. From personal experience I can't avoid it, if I have some on hand, so smoke what you have and don't buy any more.

put a toothpick in your mouth. the biggest habit in smoking anything is putting your hand to your mouth. if you use a toothpick it will controll the urge of putting your hand to your mouth.
