As someone already noted, guys who are looking for quick sex aren't thinking about "respect" at all -- since they obviously believe that the two of you will never see each other again anyway (for whatever reason). At that point, respect is irrelevant to them, since they are not even thinking about it. Guys normally don't care what strangers think about them (I know that girls do, and you spend loads of time talking about it, but guys don't).
A guy usually is not hurt by a simple "no", or "I'm not that kind of girl". He might even be impressed by your maturity if you manage to say "no" in a calm tone of voice. A guy may disrespect you if you try to judge him, insult him, or make an embarrassing scene unnecessarily.
Having said that, sleeping around is a good way of getting STDs, pregnant, and a lot of other problems. You don't want to have sex with a stranger just to find out that he is a crazy obsessed stalker with AIDS. Once you get married, you will have the rest of your life to have sex, so what is the rush? Save it for later.

Yes.But if you kiss, you open the door.If you don't,you are being respected until you do.It all depends on your age and situation,of course.Women as a rule are too uptight and inhibited about sex.It feels good.Go with it.Don't read so much into it.Tell us what you do or don't like, and have fun.Guys respect a girl that doesn't use her attractiveness to lead them on with false hope, really.Guys don't ever want to be "friends"---remember that. The next time your man is jealous,he knows what is in a man's mind,so give him a break.Don't go out with a guy as soon as you know you would never sleep with him.

I would respect a girl more if she was brave enough and honest enough to turn down someones sexual advances.

I would go with the respect for rejection if not dating otherwise they would be "easy" and so would he.
Not a thing to be proud of in this day and age for either sex.

Personally I prefer to know people before moving on. I think the whole experiance is much deeper if you know your partner, plus you are more at ease. I figure if you respect yourself and other people, you comand respect from them.

Can't give you a simple answer. But the best guys aren't turned off by a "not yet".

I respect a woman who does what she wants to do. Whether its wait or not. As long as she is doing it for herself and not because she feels she has to act a certain way or others will feel bad about her.
Its your life, your body. Live it how you want to. If you want to have sex, then do it. Don't worry about other's opinions. Make yourself happy first.

Any guy who is after sex outside of a relationship really doesn't have 'respect' on their agenda.
And denting a fragile male ego certainly won't earn you any brownie points!

i think girls who give it up to easy do not deserve respect as they dont have it for themselves. the ones that wait always get my respect as they are not giving it away and they want to make sure its right for them, and a challenge makes it much more fun.
