I think we could gather up some good stuff, and dump some of the worthless stuff...kind of make the Bible mean something again, y'know? I vote we drop Genesis, since it's obviously make believe, and just include a DVD of Jurassic Park. Any other ideas?

It is of no consequence. We will not be better off if we have another Nicea session, and we will not be worse off if we don't. Man is ever unreliable and driven by power and greed. Ever wonder why Jesus himself never wrote any scriptures but just spoke in parables so that we learn the moral of the stories instead of writing down the do's and don'ts like many self-confessed religious nuts like to do? You read a lot of these in the Bible. Better trust God through good conscience rather than blindly believe another man's interpretation.

The new christianity should reform:

1. The inclusion of animals among our brothers:do not kill and eat them[THOU SHALT NOTKILL!]
2. Stop taking alcoolic drinks-the Jesus changed water into wine is a HOAX!]
3. The Vatican should remit ALL its wealth to the people, and live simply, monastery like!No more secret bank accounts, dealing with mafiosis!
4. Priests can get married, but only sex for procreation!
5. Love ALL other religions-especially Indian origins-and do not preach-idol worship is bad:God can be in these material forms-the proof:they make countless miracles!

As long as the "new" Council does what the original one did. The original left the New Testament intact and in its original condition. This is evidence by the over 2,300 copies of the NT books still known to exist today from before the time of the Council. These manuscripts are word for word identical to what the Council official approved.

If you want to have a new Council to continue to confirm that the New Testament is accurate and reliable, and to continue to support the material within it, be my guest,

Just like Jefferson said that we should have a revolution every 20 yrs...to shake up gov't.....

Every so often, a religion that is having arguements about different parts, should be updated.

Nothing newly written should be added ofcourse, but a shake up of any religion can't be all that bad.

You might draw in more adolescent boys if you included a DVD of "One Million Years B.C." Show them how hot babes survived in the age of dinosaurs.
