They advertise that they do, but the policy appears to be different at various stores. They charge $3 if they do cash them. When my company attempted to work with W-M on this issue we found a great deal of difference from store to store.

Yes they do cash income tax checks. I cashed my small state refund there and if I recall correctly they charged $1 for ever $100, and I don*t recall there being any limit.

My local W-M charges $3.00. The max is $1,000 based upon the availability of cash. I was told (but have not verified) that you could purchase a pre-paid debit card if your refund check was larger than $1,000. Keep in mind that your local W-M may have different limits so you should call first.
