I usually run in the morning at around 9am for 30 minutes before i eat breakfast, i probably will eat breakfast about 30-1hour after running.

But i heard that if i run after breakfast, about 1-2 hours that my performance in running will increase, is this true?

So should i run before or after breakfast? Any other suggestions would be nice.

Well whenever i do run, i am on a empty stomach, i always though when running 1/2 hours after eating there is a chance of you throwing up.

I am not running to lose weight, fat loss or what ever, i am running to increase stamina so i will be able to run for a longer period of time.

Run BEFORE breakfast, your body will burn fat more efficiently.

The human body still uses it's fight-or-flight instinct that dates back to the prehistoric times.. When you start running, your body goes into "crisis" mode (the body says, "why are we running? what's chasing us?") and it will try to store any food you just ate as fat for energy. Your body has no idea when the crisis will end, so it wants to store the food for as long as possible -- and FAT is the best way to store it! Whereas, eating afterward signals that all is well and your body will exit "crisis" mode.

You should wait at least an hour after you run to eat breakfast if weight loss is the goal.

However, I do recommend drinking a small, 8oz glass of water shortly before the run to hydrate.

Run after you eat your breakfast. You've fasted all night & your body needs nourishment. Wait at least an hour before running/working out, by that time, your breakfast has digested. The advice I gave you is what someone advised me to do & it worked for me. Only difference is, I walk as running is not good for the joints. I used to run but am paying the price now for doing so.

you should never exercise on a completely empty stomach firs thing in the morning as it is very catabolic. it is not optimum for fat loss

my gym instructor told me to usually do heavy exercise after meals... that way you don't eat too much food after you run or workout... it will somehow increase your performance since you have carb intake which produces energy ...

it really doesn't matter, it's the consistency that matters.
